This tour was perfect our tour guide at he colosseum was energetic and made the trip fun . The wine tasting trip is a must you get to visit a vineyard and have a wine tasting in a nice wine cellar. The wine was amazing I bought 2 bottles plus the olive oil. This was one of my favorite trips
My husband and I loved this tour! It's definitely the way to see each of these sites and our guide was so incredible, I just wish I could remember how to spell his name. He was enthusiastic, insightful, funny, and answered all of our questions with detail. You could tell he loved his job and every person in our group was enjoying themselves immensely. The Colosseum was fascinating and the tour up Palatine Hill was gorgeous. It's almost surreal to be walking along streets and through doorways that old and with that much history around you. The House of the Vestal Virgins was pretty neat and standing beside where Julias Caesar took his last breath was surreal. The wine tour afterwards was nice but not the highlight. We'd done a full day Chianti wine region tour a couple days before and, in comparison, that one was by far superior, BUT...you did get a lot of wine and and the wine was delicious. The bathroom was out of order at the last winery we stopped at but thankfully the bus driver stopped at a gas station on the way home as Rome was an hour away. Book this tour for sure, you'll love it.
I purchased this tour for my father as a Father's Day gift and activity for both of us on our recent trip to Italy. It was a really special memory that combined some of our favorite things - travel and wine. Our guide for the Colosseum and Ancient Rome, Alessandro, was phenomenal. His passion and interest for the architecture and history of the Colosseum and Forum was unmatched and he made sure that we did not move on without having the opportunity to have our questions answered! He also did his best to make sure we were able to stop and fill water bottles and find places out of the sun to talk. It is absolutely worth it to skip the line with a group! It was already quite long at 10 a.m. when the tour started! After the Ancient Rome tour, we decided to take a taxi to the meeting place for the wine tour, we were able to have a quick lunch and met up with the tour group in a small park. Andy was our guide for the wine tasting and was extremely knowledgable about the region and pointed out some aqueducts and other vineyards on our way to Principe Pallavicini. The wine tour was in two parts, a stop at the vineyard to see the vines and some of the barrels, followed by the tasting which was held in the vineyard offices. The tasting was outstanding and we loved all four of the varietals provided by our sommelier! Time was given at the end to socialize, finish our wine, and purchase some bottles to take home. Andy also provided us with the website and address of a U.S. distributor who carries the wine in the event we decide to purchase more later on! This tour was a very special memory for my dad and I and I would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Rome! Thank you!
Colloseum and Roman Forum tour was stuff of bucket list! Patricia was fantastic - interesting, passionate and extremely knowledgeable. Unmissable tour. Visit to vineyard and wine tasting was highlight of our stay in Rome. Angela was friendly and warm. Wine fantastic and bus karaoke simply unforgettable!

Joseph was wonderful! His English was great and easy to understand. He took great time in answering questions and explaining everything having to do with the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Luca was our guide for the wine tasting portion and we also enjoyed this tour as well. s The trip was well organized and the vineyard wine was good!
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgable and efficient. She was very informative and helpful. Our group was totally fascinated in the recount of history.
Both tours were very good. The guide for the Colosseum and Ancient Rome was knowledgeable and it was good that we were using he head sets making it easy to hear her. The wine tour was fun and enjoyed the trip.
My favorite part of the tour was the Frascati Wine tour. Our guide was an irish girl with a degree in Italian studies. She was very thorough explaining history as we traveled to the winery and truly made the experience so enjoyable. The wine was delicious, the experience of exploring the vineyard, the aqueduct, and the countryside was quintessential Italy. I absolutely loved it. The Colosseum walking tour was given by a Roman woman with a very different perspective of history so that was funny. She was courteous, thoughtful, and very concerned for the welfare of her guests. I highly recommend this tour.
Suzanna provided an excellent tour of the Roman ruins that gave us a feel of life in Roman times. The wine tour with Ettore was just the right thing to do after walking among throngs of people all morning. I learned a lot about wine, enjoyed being in the country and loved the wines.
Claudia was our tour guide and made Rome come alive for us. Her knowledge of the history, the archelogy, and the preservation of the ancient ruins made this tour the highlight of our trip. It was our first tour of the vacation and set the bar high for the rest of our stay. Our wine tour was led by Mossimo and he was highly entertaining. We loved the whole day and the guides made the difference between mediocre and memorable.
We were quite disappointed with the organisation of this joint tour. The morning was fantastic, Alejandro was a great tour guide, he was so knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. One piece of advice though, if you are going throughout the summer months, take enough water and a parasol/hat with you, it can get very hot especially in this part of Rome where there is little shade. The wine tour was unfortunately virtually non existent. The instructions on where to meet were unclear as these tours are booked with 2 different agencies and therefore there is no link between the 2 and once we found out where we had to meet which was too late by then, we found it that it was very far from the end point of the Colosseum walking tour. I don't see how you can have lunch at meet for the Frascati Wine Tasting Tour in such a short amount of time!! I'm sure the wine tasting tour would have been fantastic but I think completing both tours in one day is difficult due to the way it has been organised.
