By far this was the highlight of my holiday. We had Franco as our tour guide who spoke French and English. He was very accommodating. We drove on the cobble stone roads in a 57 fiat 500. If you love cars then this is a must. Make sure to ask for Franco. I will do this again when I'm in Rome.
By far, this Fiat tour was the highlight of our Rome trip! If you can drive a stick - you must take this tour.
The tour was amazing. We got to see all the main sites and a lot of out of the way places too. Well worth the money and the guide was excellent.
This was an exceptional tour. Went to very unique places. Everyone was jealous of my pictures on Facebook. Highly recommended
My wife and I had a wonderful time on this tour, but there is a story.... We had been in Rome for 3 days before we took this tour, lots of walking an cabs. When we arrived for the self-drive tour, the guide told us that the other couples had cancelled and it was just us and him. He asked what we would like to do, drive or have him drive us. I quickly said that he could drive and I would sit I the back seat. What a relief. If you have ever seen the traffic in Rome you would understand my answer. To drive a 1957 Fiat 500 with a 1957 gearbox on hills and cobblestone in traffic so fast and tight and scooter-filled that it would make a Chicago cab driver cry, all while keeping up with another car is a very tall order. Our guide, however, was a great guy and made the tour a great success. He gave meaningful insight into the various stops along the route, and even added an unscheduled stop at Trevi Fountain. With a group of adventurous drivers, I can see where this tour would be a blast.
Excellent tour. We met Paolo at the garage and after a brief explanation got started on our customized tour right away. This was so much fun and Paolo made it so easy to navigate the streets of Rome. We visited sites we never even knew existed. Paolo was always great to make sure he captured our memories by taking many pictures of us at all the stops. The cars are a blast from the past and garner a lot of attention on the roads of Rome with many locals and tourists snapping pictures of us as we drove through the streets and neighborhoods. A wonderful stop along the way for gelato and tea at a local cafe was a very nice break. We drove a 1971 Fiat 500 Abarth convertible in bright yellow, it was fantastic. I would not leave Rome without taking this tour. As an added bonus we accidently left our umbrella in the car and Paolo dropped it off at our hotel with a nice hand written note after we reached out to him by email to check the car. Truly a great experience. Thank you Paolo for showing us Rome.
We were in Rome on our 10 year wedding anniversary and we are sooooo glad we done this tour, really good fun and something we will never forget.... great way to see the parts of rome that you would never usually find.. we will definitely do this again when we go back to Rome... totally amazing..!!
Although driving in Rome is a bit tricky at times the guide was fabulous and we had lots of fun in the little Fiat, seeing some sights we would not have otherwise seen.
Tour was amazing worth every €!! Guide was amazing, knowledgeable, took us off the beaten track to assure the 3 hours were effortless. Considering we range from 168~183cm, nostalgia in our bicoloured 500 took over as with our popularity on the streets, we and #39;d do it again to explore more, bravissimi!!
I wish I could give 6 stars! This was the highlight of our trip! Guide was awesome! We saw so many thing we would have never seen! The cars were amazing! So much fun to drive! Highly recommend this outing!!!❤️
Most fun tour we did. Loved driving around Rome and seeing some of the beauty of it off the beaten path. Amazing and just super fun. Well worth the money. Just ended up being 2 cars and our tour guide. Loved that it was a small group.
My husband and I have been blessed to have traveled the world and to have seen some amazing things and meet some great people. This driving tour of Rome and our time with our guide, Paolo, was truly one of the most unique and memorable experiences of our travels. To drive around the amazing city of Rome in a vintage Fiat made us feel like we had traveled back in time for our own little Roman Holiday. There was definitely a nostalgic and cool feel to the whole experience. Even though we had been to Rome in the past, we saw Rome from a whole new perspective.
Paolo was an awesome guide. Extremely knowledgeable about the city and its history, and a genuinely nice guy with some amazing stories of his sojourns around the world. A true world traveler. He took us to parts of Rome that tourists perhaps would not know about, and he took us to a local cafe for some cappuccinos. We really enjoyed meeting him.
We highly recommend this tour. It's truly a unique way to experience Rome. On our next visit, we plan to do the Vespa tour of Rome.
Simply the best Tour and most fun you will have in Rome. This was brilliant.
This tour was the highlight of my trip to Rome. The cars are well taken care of and you learn so much more than the regular sights and sounds of the city.. I would highly recommend this tour.
Fabulous tour! We loved our tour guide, Alexander. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Rome. He took us to places we weren't able to walk to. One our best days in Rome!
One of the best things we have ever done on our travels. Georgio our guide was amazing. We would never have gone to some of the places he took us to. Highly recommend driving through rome
The tour brought us to many pretty attractions around Rome. Overall the drive was easy and fun, with our guide, Alivse constantly reminding us our cars were 'superstars' as well! My husband and I really enjoyed the tour. Definitely recommend to try if you love the lovely cars!
Brilliant! What a great time we had all thanks to Georgo our tour guide. We were his only guests but this did not curb his enthusiasm, we were treated like special guests. The car was amazing, this little tiny old quaint car with a push back sunroof, wind down windows and only one wing mirror. My husband was driving thank goodness as he made lots of Roman friends who beeped their horns at him and made hand gestures! But this added to the fun! Georgo was patient and made sure we did not get lost, he took us to places we would never have seen if we had not done the tour, we went up tiny cobbled streets which turned the car into a bit of a bone shaker! The best bit for me was the keyhole This is amazing and I could not stop looking through it! On our travels we met up with another convoy of 4 and it was like meeting long lost pals! One of the cars had 4 persons in, they looked a bit squashed but very happy! Georgo is lovely, he took us for coffee to a fab place buried under a hill! If you wnat to see bits of the real Rome, do this, you will not be disappointed I promise, I did not want the day to end I was having so much fun! Thank you Georgo and his boss who we met when we returned to the garage, they were both so welcoming.
Very fun and unique experience in Rome. Got to see some sites and neighbourhoods that are a bit off the beaten path. Jack was a wonderful and friendly guide. The Roman traffic can definitely live up to its chaotic reputation, so you shouldn't sign up for this is you are a timid driver.
Loved the tour - I took my 15 year old grandson - he thought it was cool
More then I expected
Daniel, our guide, was very knowledgable about his city
Saw places I would have never seen on my own
