We lucked out by finding this tour. My wife and I were very impressed by the tour guides' knowledge for both the Roman history and the Vatican. The lady who toured us through the Colosseum and other Roman historical sites was literally a Roman Archeologist! who could ask for more!! And our Vatican guide was a Roman art major! They were both awesome beyond words! Thank you and I definitely recommend this tour - 5-stars for sure.

The Colosseum/Ancient Rome Tour in the morning was unreal, our guide Elena gave us a new found appreciation of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. She was able to give us the big picture of all of Rome's history. Our favorite metaphor we use now is, Rome is like a lasagna, it has layers and layers built on each other.

That afternoon we did the Vatican tour with our other guide, Lorena I hope we got it right. There it was eye boggling the museum itself. If it wasn't for our guide to keep us in path we might have gotten lost or spent hours at just one area and not be able to see the rest of the many rooms. Her passion of the architecture, history, and arts made us be grateful for where we were at the time.

Our tour guide was Helena for the morning portion of the tour. She is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to Ancient Rome. This was a small group tour of inky 4 adults. i recommend this tour.

3 star rating: Worth doing June 2016

Our tour guide for the Colosseum was almost a half hour late but, she was pleasant and informative. It was great to have a tour guide because we would have missed a lot of stuff. In the afternoon, our tour guide for the Vatican was good as well.

Coloseum tour was good. Great guide.
Separate Vatican tour and guide less impressive. Very mechanical and a bit rushed.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better April 2016

I had high expectations based on the reviews and the price. I would choose another company in the future. Our guide was very nice but did give enough info about what we were seeing or the history. we used a different company inFlorence for a fraction of the price and it was much better.

This tour was a complete waste of money the morning tour was very average with not a lot of time in the coloseum and the afternoon tour of the Vatican museum was terrible the guide spoke very poor English and we could not understand her at all and unfortunately St. Peter's bascilia was closed but they did not even take us over there and give any commentary it at all
