Front of the line is a great way to see the sites of Rome . We had a great tour guide who was very informative . A great way to see the major tourist sites of Rome. We seen the Vatican , St Peters and the Colosseum and did not have to wait in line for ages . The way to go.
Vatican tour for was amazing it's a dream come true for me. Our tour guide for Vatican and Colosseum are both amazing and very knowledgeable. Grazie for the great experience!
This was a great tour. Be prepared for a lot of walking and you WILL be tired by the end of the day but the amazing sites you see during this tour make it all worth it. If you don't get the lunch option, it gets a little confusing. Finding the group at the Colosseum after lunch was confusing for everybody. People on other language tours were just as confused. The tour company should really try to be more visible and specific on a location to meet. Other than that, everything went well. The skip the line is a MUST. Our tour guide for the Colosseum portion was Ed. He is a character and does many tours for the company. He made this extra special. Thanks Ed!
Excellent tour, wonderful guides, prepare for lots of walking and stairs
Plan on a lot of walking but able to see a lot as well. Skipping lines is the ONLY way to go. Waits were up to 3 hours at the Vatican if you were not on a tour. Same with the Colosseum. Guides were professional and very informative. Worth every penny.
We had one issue with the security at the Vatican. Security made us check my husbands backpack into their holding area. When our tour guide went to pick it up0 for us while we were at lunch. Security gave the guide the wrong backpack. My husband went back with the guide and it took almost 20 minutes for security to figure out they had mixed up the bag tags!! Our guide argued with security until we got our backpack! Miguel was amazing!!! After my husband got back to join me for lunch. We wanted to thank Miguel with a tip, but he was gone and we were off to the Colosseum. so... THANK YOU MIGUEL!!! XOXO
This tour was excellent! The lines to get into these attractions were so long...well worth it to skip the line. Our tour guides were extremely knowledgable and friendly - great tour.
We had 2 tour guides and they were both fantastic. The tour itself was amazing. We enjoyed every minute of it.
This is a long day! 3-3.5 hours walking in each venue. Please make sure you wear the right shoes. Both Giuseppe Vatican and Marcello Colosseum were fantastic guides with a lot of knowledge about their specific venues. The meal in between was simple and nice. This is a great way to relax and you are then driven to the Colosseum afterwards. If you don't take the lunch option you will need to find our own way to the next site.
Rome is a wonderful city. I think it's the best that I have visited so far and I have visited most of the major cities in West and central Europe. This tour was awesome. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. The skip the line option is worth its weight in gold. Any tour you pick should have this option unless you have a few hours to wait. I really enjoyed the colosseum and the Vatican, it's just not the same without the added benefit of an expert guide who is able to answer any questions you may have.
all went as planned . easy to follow and helped to overcome the large crowds . a good value for last minute Roman roaming
Roberta was just the best tour guide, she was funny and charming and so knowledgeable. her enthusiam is unmatchable! The second part of the tour is tiring so recommend to only stick with the first part and visit the Collosseum another day.
It was a very interesting and informative tour as it covers the 2 most important land marks in Rome. Alex was the quite for the Vatican and Christine was the guide for the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Both of them are very knowledgeable. We were pick up at our hotel as arranged. The skip the line privilege is a definite must as the queues can get very long and you can gain access to areas reserve for this type of tickets. Make sure you wear a good pair of walking shoes as there is quite a lot of walking on uneven paths and steep stairs to climb up and down. Bring a bottle of water as well. Depending on when you end the tour, taxis are available acorss the street from the Colosseum. A well worth full dat tour including a lunch.
This tour is truly amazing, there is no way to do this by yourself in the same time skip the line tour is a very good choice as the lines otherwise would be 2-3hours at both places.
We had excellent guides both at the Vatican Markus and at Colosseum Silvia.
The tour guide was excellent. The mini van was on time to pick us up in the lobby of our hotel.
The trip was truly amazing. Breathtaking .
Tour guide David for the Vatican and Francesca for the Colosseum were superb. Very accommodating and knowledgeable.
This tour was awesome. We loved our tour guides. Definitely do this tour if you want to see the Vatican and Colosseum. I was blown away by all the people waiting while we easily got in through the VIP line. Make sure to wear comfy shoes! You are going to have a very long day. The only thing I would have changed about the tour is the restaurant we went to. We didn't care for the food.
LUDVIG did an exceptional job highlighting the many areas of the Vatican. I strongly recommend you request him as your guide. Charming, welcoming, and insightful in so many areas as he has seven years of experience doing this. It was such a lovely morning as a result of his expertise!

Jane was our tour guide for both the Vatican and Colosseum excursions. She was very knowledgeable and patient with our questions. She carefully explained in detail to the entire group all the important / interesting points and moments of history of the places we visited and the paintings and sculptures we saw. She even showed us some comparison pictures of certain ruins that contained renditions of how the buildings would have looked back in their heyday, to paint an even better picture in our imagination.
Only downside to the tour was the place we went for lunch. A restaurant called Satiricus near the Vatican. The food was terrible but we were so famished from the morning's trip that we gulped down a suspicious looking vegetable Lasagna first course, an edible plate of tomatoes, mozzarella and black olives which was the vegetarian Main course and awfully bitter Tiramisu dessert.
