The guide was so impressive and willing to anwser all questions! My boyfriend is slightly hard of hearing and the one earred audio sets worked great! I have somewhat of a bad hip but the tour was at a great pace for me.
Having researched what would be a good tour of the ancient monuments in Rome, I must say Viator's tour was offering exactly what we wanted. The tour guide was waiting for us at the appointed meeting place. She was very knowledgable and very willing to share stories and answer numerous questions. She interacted with the others in our party and being a small group, everyone got a special attention and able to listen with the availability of an ear piece where you could hear everything she said very clearly. Thoroughly recommend this tour. It is a walking tour so good walking shoes are essential and if the weather is not good, there is no where to shelter. The 3 hours went by in a flash.
Love this tour. Have done this tour before but years ago so it was nice to do it again
We had a great tour guide. Serena took us through the Colosseum and the Roman ruins, and then on a walking tour to the Pantheon. She was easy to understand and very knowledgeable. The tour was at an easy pace and we never felt rushed. We learned so many interesting facts about Rome that the tour was really worthwhile. We would recommend Serena and Mea tours.
Another great tour. Our guide was amazing. Knowledgeable archeologist who could be an actress. Loved the small group. Early morning was great choice. Cold but not crowded.
This Tour is a must do, it is the best way to get the info you want , history, fantastic inside views from knowledgeable local guides, skip the long lines and save time seeing the ruins , instead of waiting in long lines. I highly recommend and would definitely do it again
Such a wonderful tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun.
Excellent tour. Our guide had a high level of knowledge of everything we saw, was very personable and open to questions, and as appreciative of us as we were of her. Would definitely recommend this tour if you are looking for something of this nature.
This extended tour beyond just the Coliseum was AMAZING.....even with the downpour of rain and cold weather. Our tour guide was a young woman who likely had been on this tour many many times before BUT you would never have guessed it. She was excited about showing us what her home offered as well as its history. She never rushed through any part of the tour which given the wet and cold conditions might have happened EXCEPT FOR HER. She was informative, interesting and passionate about the history of each and every ancient ruin we visited. The small tour group became a friendly bunch as the day progressed thanks to our guide. She prompted group discussions throughout our tour and we all came to respect and love her passion. I would liken her to my favorite professor...the one who might shape your career choice. She took us back in time and all that happened....one could perhaps feel a bit of what life was like then and what transpired through the years. I would READILY RECOMMEND Viator given this tour and the days prior tour to The Vatican. The tour guide was exceptional the tour was exceptional, the information/discussions were exceptional, the whole experience could not have been any better. I cannot wait to return as I would do this tour again and again and again.
Francesca was a great guide. By far the best tour we took. She was knowledgeable, funny, engaging, and relaxed. Not only did she guide us through the ancient monuments, but added dashes of Italian language and culture. Only wish our tours were with Mea Tours!
The guide was excellent! She was thorough and friendly. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Colessoum/Roman Forum.
Our tour guide, Roberta, is a PhD archeologist with an actors personality. She was excited, animated, informative, knowledgeable and humorous. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Note, however, that it is a good 2.3 miles and 7,000 steps according to our iPhones. Rome streets are 100 cobblestones with lots of stairs on the route.
Our guide Michela an archeologist was a wonderful guide, she was both knowledgeable and informative. Skipping the line and getting a guided tour of the iconic coliseum and surrounding grounds are a must.
Our tour guide, Judy, made this tour one of the highlights of our trip to Rome. She was knowledgeable, well spoken, and good humoured. On other guided tours using earphones, I had found it difficult to always make out the words spoken by the guide. Judy's speech was very clear and she was always ready to expand on a theme if queries were made. We were on the 0930 h tour and we were lucky to get into the Colosseum without having to line up-there can be line ups later in the day even in the skip the line entry. So I would suggest going on the earlier tour rather than mid day when it got very crowded.
This tour was great! Very education and informative. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Excellent tour with a fantastic knowledgeable guide - skipping the line is the way to go!! Rome is hot even in autumn so wear comfortable loose fitting clothes!
Very well organized. The Tour Guide was excellent! She has a thorough knowledge and very well explained. I highly recommend the Tour
Our guide was a great story teller and very sweet. We had a marvelous time!
Really enjoyed this tour. We were a group go 9 and it worked really well.
This was just magnificent. Erturk our guide was fantastic. He could not have been more informative and personable. The information he provided will stay with us for a lifetime. From the Pantheon through the ruins to the Colisseum it was just great. If every guide were as well informed and interesting in their presentation we would probably use these kind of tours more frequently. He also gave us a great restaurant recommendation near our hotel in Rome that was one of our favorite meals on the whole trip...an added bonus!
The tour guide was also very good on this tour. It was a 3 hour tour and we learned so much. It is a much better experience than just seeing it on your own.
Started this walking tour at the base of the Arch of Constantine, then proceeded to the Coliseum. We toured inside with amazing views and explanations by our guide. He would show pictures in a book to help us understand what the Coliseum would have originally looked like. Lots of opportunities for photos. Walked to the Roman Forum with more good explanations and book photos. Long walk to the wonderful Victor Emmanuel Monument, the on to the Pantheon. The line was too long to tour the interior with the guide, but we toured it on our own after lunch. Beautiful and worth standing in line that moved fairly quickly. Excellent tour with a lot of walking!
