The Colosseum and Roman Forum are rarely left off any first-time visitor’s Rome itinerary, but Casa di Augusto and Casa di Livia — excavated residences once inhabited by Emperor Augustus and only opened to visitors in 2015 — are two attractions still relatively unknown to the general public. This 3.5-hour, small-group tour combines a private visit to these exquisitely well-preserved sites, as well as skip-the-line tours of the Roman Forum and Colosseum.
Our guide was fun, knowledgeable, and the tour in everything we expected. Highly recommended for the cost.
Our guide was so knowledge of all things Roman. Seeing the inside of casa di Augusta and livia were definitely a highlight. So different with the colors in tact you can easily imagine what life was like when they lived there. Amazing
The tour with Maria as our guide was really great. Weather didn't cooperate but nothing you can do about that.
Would highly recommend the tour particularly using Maria as a guide.
This tour was one of the best things we did in Rome. Our guide, whom I'm sorry I forgot his name, is an archeologist. His knowledge and enthusiasm was so contagious it was like he was story telling from long ago. Our group of 12, with no other groups, was taken through locked gates to the site dating back to 730BC, where they believe Romulus walked, the house of Augusto, 40 BC, fully preserved rooms with spectacular frescos and more for about 2 hours. With the general public, we wound our way through the towering buildings of the Forum and of course the Collosseum, which almost speaks for itself. My fellow travellers and I still are talking about this tour. Amazing!
Brilliant! Our tour guide was soooooo knowledgeable.Renata? For the majority of time We were in areas without any other groups so able to see and take photos without hassles. The Colosseum was of course very busy but we were lucky enough to enter through the Gladiators walk and were by ourselves looking down.....wonderful. The meeting place was easy to find.highly recommend this tour and guide and company.
This tour was highly rated and appropriately so. the tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. the tour requires a lot of rather fast paced walking uphill so be prepared.
great trip! even in the heavy raining day.
Loved the tour. It was awesome. Brought the ancient world alive for me. Lots of walking. It was small group and off the beaten path at Casa Augusto and Casa Livia so no big crowds there. Our guide was great and did a super job. Very impressive. One of the best tours we took in Rome.
