A great tour with lots of history but also great stories delivered in a fun way. Our 10 year old children loved it too.

Great tour. Our knowledgeable and expert guide made sure we got so much more out of the visit than if we had just gone on our own. He didn't talk about everything in the museum would have been impossible but talked about certain highlights, making sure we understood the main points. Really enjoyed it and skipping the line is worth every uro, anyway!

Our guide was very good - having said that I will say that it is hot, crowded and long. The Vatican museums are air conditioned only in certain areas - other areas are open windows - our day was very hot and crowded - and fairly chaotic - Which seems to be the status quo for such a popular place

We used Viator to visit the Vatican. We got on an earlier trip than we had planned and had only 5 people in our tour. It was great.

Our guide, Saverio, was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining, and we really enjoyed this tour with him. All the destinations were beautiful, and the history was fascinating. Saverio could answer any question in depth, and clearly had a passion for his work. He would get 5 stars on his own. Why only 4 for the tour, you might ask? Three and a half weren't an option, and three was too low. Here's why...

When we arrived at our meeting place and saw the lines of people waiting, we were SO glad we booked this tour! Maybe because it was such a busy day at the Vatican, we ended up waiting a long time to actually get started, though. We arrived to check in for our 9:30 tour to find out we'd been bumped to a 10:30 tour because they were so busy. At 10:30 we walked to the front where we waited another 30 minutes for our tickets to get in. Once inside we waited about 30 minutes for our headsets so the tour could start. I'm sure they were strategically spacing out the groups because it was so crowded, and it was completely beyond our tour guide's control, but what we expected to be a few hours ended up taking more than 5. Some in our group ended up having to leave early because they had other activities scheduled, and we ended up taking a cab across town and running the last half mile to get to our 2:45 tour at the Colosseum. In summary, it was worth it to skip the line, and we thoroughly enjoyed Severio, but don't go into this expecting to jump right to the front of the line and head inside. Plan on a lot of waiting before the tour actually gets started.

The guide was extremely knowledgeable. He was patient, good sense of humor and caring about the subject. A bit too crowded for my taste going through the corridors. While it lasted much longer then we intended, this is a must do event!
