Absolutely amazing, both tour guides were extremely informative and passionate, couldn't,t have been better except for headphones quality needs refining for 2016, more clarity would be good
This tour very interesting especially the backstories behind many of the sites, paintings, and historical figures, Our afternoon tour guide, Georgia, was one of the best tour guides we had on our trip and you could tell she was passionate about the topics she covered. Her knowledge on the subjects were astounding.
The morning tour was interesting, but the afternoon tour to the Basilicas was terrific. I could have spent a whole day at the three churches we saw in the afternoon.
Very knowledgeable tour guides. This is a combo tour so you get one tour guide for the Am and one for the PM. You end the morning tour then have a break before you walk back to the original starting point to pick up the afternoon guide. The only problem is the Vatican is very crowded so you have to keep up or lose out when you go from one area to the next. The day is long so be prepared to walk a lot and see a lot. The churches are beautiful and the information you receive is great. It is a tour I would recommend
Both of our tour guides were very well-versed and gave us plenty of interesting tidbits.
My husband and I highly recommend this tour. Skipping the lines made a huge difference on how much we saw. Our tour guide took an interest in each one of us which made the tour very engaging. She pointed out the important art work, let us have time to see and appreciate the museum. We all would like to have more time in these beautiful places but our guide kept us on schedule and still gave us time to enjoy the beautiful basilica. After a break we were off to see the three other beautiful churches. She explained their significant and pointed out lots of details which made this tour memorable
Unbelievable and well worth the tour, the guide was very good in her explanations of the church both theologically history along with the political history of the people and faith at the times in history. She was very balanced in her tour. The site is amazing
The first half of the day we visited Vatican City. This was an awesome tour and experience. Saint Peter's Basilica was indescribable. You guide was very knowledgeable and professional. The second half of the day visiting 2 of 3 other Basilicas around Rome was OK. If I had it to do over, I would have just booked Vatican City, stayed there longer and had my afternoon free.
Awesome guide and tour! The morning you visit the Vatican and get free time after the tour to do more if you want or you can go and eat lunch and meet back at the same meeting point as the morning easy to find and then you do some Awesome Basilica's and places in the afternoon. This is a must do tour!!!
My wife and I did many tours during our 1-1/2 weeks in Rome and this was the greatest of them all. I am not Catholic, but I left this tour with an immense urge to learn more about the Catholic church history.
Couple things to know about this long day:
The first 3-1/2 hrs are spent with a guide walking through the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel, and St Peter's Church. If you are claustrophobic or don't like being in large crowds, this is not the tour for you... instead buy an early entrance tour.
Things you didn't know COULD hurt, WILL hurt by the 2nd part of this tour. You will have about a 2 hr break before the 2nd part begins.
The 2nd part of the tour visits the 3 other Papal Basilicas in Rome. Much of this time is on a bus, transporting you from one to the next. This is a nice break, but by the last basilica you will be exhausted.
If I had the time and could do this over again, I absolutely would.
Definitely do the full day of the Vatican, the vatican museum part is interesting but the sistine chapel, St peter's basilica and the other basilica's of the vatican are amazing and so worth seeing. Highly recommended but make sure to do it with City Wonders because they are very well organized and do smaller groups. They also will do groups of all one language speaking instead of repeating the information numerous times in different languages. they are wonderful. Only downside is sometimes there isn't enough time to see as much as you'd like because there is SO much amazing things to see, but they do AMAZING job of showing you the best of the best and telling you so much about it all.

This was just enough time. The Pope had a special blessing the day we did this tour, but we were pleased with the extended tour of the museums even though we could not go into St. Peter's. We actually did a short tour with another group a couple of days before, so we had seen St. Peter's. Georgia in the afternoon was awesome! She combined her vast historical knowledge with a little humor keeping us interested. The places chosen, especially during the Jubilee Year were exactly what we were looking for. We came home completely transformed by the experience. Thank you!!

It was wonderful. The irish guide Rachael did a wonderful job at the Vatican. Would recommend her highly
Brilliant tour and very knowledgeable guide, this is a great way to see all the great sights and learn the background and history behind the wonders. definitely would recommend this tour..
Great tour covering within the Vatican walls and the three Vatican basilicas outside the wall. Our guides were knowledgeable and made everything even more interesting. Highly recommended.
Christina and Dimitri is a great tour guide..great value for the money..and they really take care of us..I personally recommend you this tour if you want to know more of the Vatican City..
Brilliant trip - long day but very worthwhile indeed - a must do !
Fantastic tours with very knowledgeable and enjoyable tour guides. Highly recommend both Alessandra and Melanie who were our guides for these tours. We were made to feel very welcome by both guides and were supported to join another tour by the same company City Wonders when we arrived too late for the morning tour. With the tour guides knowledge of art and history we couldn't recommend a better way to see the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, Vatican Museum and the other 3 Basilicas.
Excellent tour guided by an expercienced historian who gave very interesting and lively explanation of some of the important works in the Vatican museum and St Peter's. She was able to guide our group through throngs of people. We have an equally good American historian guide who lived in Italy in the afternoon to take us to the other three basilicas. Wonderful tour
Excellent guides . Very knowledgeable. . Enjoyed the tour immensely . Loved it all .
Unfortunately I do not know the name of the gentleman who guided us around the Vatican however he was absolutely excellent. Extremely passionate and knowledgeable and took the time to tell so all the interesting facts during the morning. The tour was well planned, we didn't feel rushed at any point and it really was 'Skip the line!' Will always use Viator, they have always excelled and we have never been disappointed. Fantastic! Thank you!
Glad we did this in the morning..so so many people, worth doing the tour, so you do not have to wait in line. Got a little lost with directions, but found our way.
Excellent guide! Specially Emanuella. The tour in the Vatican was simply perfect.
Emy made us forget the heat and the crowds with her passion for the history and art at he Vatican.
But in summer is too much to do the Vatican and the Basilicas in the same day. We were exhausted at midday.
