Great Tour with very knowledgeable guide who was approachable and friendly. All questions were welcomed and answered in depth, i would recommend this tour.
Excellent tour guide Enza who was very knowledgable and encouraged us to ask questions. We were a small group of 9 which was great and felt more personal. Our guide gave us a summary of the Vatican City and then led us through to the Vatican museum. We were surprised there was no queue through security and no hoards of visitors tip - visit early December ! We were given headsets and earpieces and Enza led us through a selected number of museum rooms explaining about the objects, sculptures and maps as we went through.truly fascinating ! Prior to entering the Sistine Chapel ,she summarised, with the use of a picture book ,the frescoes we would see in the chapel. This was very informative as there is a rule of silence in the chapel so you had an idea of what to look at.
After the Sistine chapel, we were taken through to Saint Peter's Basilica and our guide explained the history and highlights before leaving us to explore at leisure and find our way back to the hotel.
We all agreed it had been a great tour.
TIP Have something to eat and drink beforehand and wear comfortable shoes !
This tour and a private food tour were our favorite things to do in Rome. I highly recommend it. The best thing about it was that the group was very small. Our group consisted of 4 people only. I asked and apparently this is one of the only tours with small groups. The entrance was fast with the skip the line and easier with the small group. We had no problem hearing our guide and there was no need for an audio piece. We learned so much about the history and the views were amazing. It was great to be able to see the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica all in one day.
This tour was the highlight of our stay in Rome - apart from the earthquake! Marcello was our guide and we were lucky enough to have him to the 4 of us as the others who'd booked didn't arrive. He was charming, completely bilingual and extremely knowledgable about everything we saw. We walked past enormous lines and straight into the Vatican museum where he explained everything so well. From there we went to the Sistine Chapel then St Peter's. We are tourists who do our homework first but we could never have got so much out of this visit without his help. Thank you viator and Marcello - we will definitely use you again in other countries. This was 50 very well spent.
Fantastic tour! We saw everything we wanted to. The guides were fantastic and helpful. Highly recommend if you are in Rome for a short time!
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour mainly because of the excellent guiding of Angelica. We very much regretted that we lost her at the end of the Cappella Sistina visit as we wanted to thank her personally and congratulate her on being a first class guide.
10 very good guide small group, very intersting
Fantastic site with loads to see. Our original guide said booking time had been changed by the Vatican but fortunately was able to get us a tour with another guide at the original time. Was disappointed the tour didn and #39;t include Raphael and #39;s rooms as standard but guide showed us anyway which was great.
Very informative. Great history and the tour guide whose name is Caesar was fantastic. I would recommend this tour. It will not disappoint.
Tour started 30 minutes later than scheduled time on voucher. Guide was good about keeping the group together and waiting on us. Knowledgable also, but hard to hear on less than adequate radio sets. Did not get a tour inside St. Peter's Basilica rather, was left outside the Basilica in St. Peter's Square. Did not meet expectations.
