Rita with I Love Rome by Carrani Tours was a fantastic tour guide. She shared her knowledge of the Vatican in the most interesting and captivating way. I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in seeing the Vatican, in particular the Sistene Chapel. Book the earliest tour possible since it gets very crowded as the day goes on.

The tour definitely helps skip the long queue for the entry to the museums. The guide us took us through the key parts of the museums (few sections are skipped), and the main focus was the Cistine Chappel. Overall, I would say the key value of the tour is to help skip the long lines for entry.

Our guide, Paula, was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and patient. 19 people in our group so keeping us all together was no easy task. And she was just a tiny little thing! Thank goodness that this tour had radios with earbuds! Be prepared for LONG lineups (even with skip the line) because that’s just how it is. Many tours wanting to see this fascinating site! You unfortunately don’t have very long in the museums, but you get to see everything at a glance. They are very strict there on where and how long you can stand looking at something. Many magnificent pieces of art to see! Please listen to your guide regarding rules in the Sistine chapel and St Peters Basilica: be respectful and remove hats, and don’t talk! So many tourists don’t seem to understand this!! If you don’t want to follow the rules, don’t go to a Catholic Church! They do herd you like cows in the Chapel! But again, too many people! We also went up the Cupola (not included in the tour, and you have to pay extra, but only €10 with elevator). 320 steps. Was not hard (and we’re old!) but vertigo definitely can be an issue! I had to keep my eyes on only the floor going up. The view at the top is so worth the climb!! A must see! Would highly recommend this tour!
Definitely do the skirt the line tours - otherwise queues are horrendous.

Meeting point should have been opposite the entrance - where it always used to be. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable - the best of the tours I’ve done there, yet halfway thru the tour she really looked like she didn’t want to be there

Poorly organized

Very disorganized. Guides English was poor. She did not communicate to us for nearly the first 50 minutes, we all had no idea what was going on. The entry to the Vatican is extremely disorganized and chaotic. Left feeling dissatisfied.

This was a holiday and it was totally wall to wall people. You couldn’t even see the floor you were walking on. Our guide did a fantastic job of keeping us together and safe while still giving us a fact filed tour with lots of historic content.

I had an extraordinary experience that I will cherish for a lifetime, especially because I had the pleasure of being accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. The information provided was fascinating, and I don't think I could have accessed the Vatican Museum without the aid of our guide who helped us skip the lines.

Much too many people in the museum - perhaps due to holiday period - meant more than one hour waiting just to get in. When finally there our guide did an excellent job, but it was very stressful.

Guide was terrible . Place is awesome. So much history and art . Beyond imagination. Experience was ruined by the guide . All 3 hours she kept telling us stay in group . She is gonna be at left . Toilets gonna be here . She kept repeating same directions 10 times . Very frustrating. She should have spent more time on explaining all the different art pictures sculptures. In 3 hours tour ,she spent 2 and half hours in repeating same directions. ( which any one can get it in 2 times ! She repeated 10 times ! Literally ! Spent 300$ on this guide ! Terrible guide

Our tour at the Vatican Museums Sistine Chapel and inside the Saint Peter Basilica was smooth and well organized. We truly appreciate Roberta, our knowledgeable tour guide for leading us and share all the significant historical information regarding the pieces of art displayed in the Vatican Museum. There's no dull moment with Roberta's passionate explanation of history behind every master pieces in the Vatican Museums Sistine Chapel. And Roberta even go extra mile to explain the entire history behind the construction of the Vatican Square. My kids aged 11 and 17 enjoyed every story Roberta shared with us. Roberta is the best history teacher. I totally recommend this tour guide company. It's worth every penny. You will not be disappointed.

Way way way too crowded. Most of the 3 hours is spent waiting in long lines. We had a large group with a very nice and knowledgeable tour guide. However, the Vatican does not appear to limit crowds, making this one of the most unpleasant experiences of our trip to Italy.
