An excellent tour, thoroughly recommended to anyone who wants to learn more about Italian food, the history of the local area and how to cook delicious pasta meals in a beautiful setting.
I had a great time with Vittoria and her assistant. I was hands on for many steps of our five course meal. Some steps I missed while I was eating, however, I could have asked more questions. It was a fun day, beautiful food, wine, music, and good company. Vittoria was an excellent teacher, and happily answered any questions. I enjoyed shopping for the food at the local shops and the tour through the Jewish Quarter. I highly recommend doing this cooking class.
We absolutely loved this experience!!!!! And I hate cooking.....
Chef Paulo was fabulous. It was so much fun to shop and then cook with him and the group. The only complaint would be that it was advertised as a maximum of 8 and we were a group of 12. The number did not take away from the experience as our group members were all delightful. The ingredients, food, and beverages were all fresh and outstanding.
Must do experience, we had a lovely small group class. Everyone got very involved in making pasta and it was a fun, relaxing environment. Plenty of wine and good music - it was like learning to cook with old friends. Loved the walking tour of the markets too - our guide spoke perfect english and was able to answer any question every step of the way.
Highly recommend! This class was the highlight of our trip. There were six of us in all with an infant others joined to make the class 9.
Our chef/instructors were knowledgable, friendly and fun. First we went to the market at the Campo de Fiori. We then had a small walking tour on the way to the loft kitchen for our class. Very comfortable location! We learned how to make two different types of pasta and three different types of noodles. We also made an eggplant parmigiana. As well as three types of sauces a fresh tomato, pesto and another with wine and leftover ravioli filling. Did I mention wine? We enjoyed Italian wine throughout the class. Yum!!
Don't hesitate to book this class if you're a single or with a group. Fun, festive atmosphere that accommodates all levels. Grazie to our chefs!! Very thankful for the memories and look forward to booking again. Loved it!
best experience in rome. our chef was wonderful and the food was absolutely amazing. highly recommend for any level of cook.
Great day ending with a great meal. We met our guide at the correct location and enjoyed walking to the market to buy fresh produce then we were off to the beautiful loft kitchen where we had so much fun and enjoyed a wine or two as we prepared the meal. The final result was a perfect lunch with good people.
Good food and vine, wonderful chef!! Never knew that making pasta could be so much fun.
One of the best things I did on a vacation! Cannot say enough great things about my experience in this small group cooking lesson. Learned how to make Lasagna, Gnocchi, RAVIOLI WITH TWO FILLINGS, Fettucini, Strawberries with special sauce. Italian Bruscetta hor deurve... It was really really fun!
WONDERFUL!! Such an enjoyable day - Chef Vittoria was great, the food was outstanding - there was way to much to eat, but delicious. The most talked about part of our trip to Rome!
More than a cooking day we had a short tour of Rome and a shop in the market. The venue was great and we finished with lunch which included wine. The whole day very well ran and the chef was very nice. The assistant could do with a little training. For example taking the knife and fork out of someone's hands whilst eating because she wants to wash up isn't great customer service but the rest of it was so good that it's hard to mark down. Highly recommended.
This cooking class was excellent. Quick tour of market and shopping for the meal, followed by fun cooking in a great apartment. Everything was delicious and I'll definitely start making my own pasta at home. Highly recommend.
What a good cooking class. It began at ou meeting point, the chef Paolo and his assistant Nicolette were wainting for us. We were only 6 that day. We walked to Campo dei fiori to buy our vegtebles, fruits, meet and other things to prepare the meal. We had some tasting at some shops, very good. After we walked to the appartment Marlon Brandon use to stay there when he was making movies in Rome. It was so beautiful, situated on the Isola Tiberina. We had Prosecco and prepared 3 types of pastas and dessert and Paolo prepared the meet and vegtables for us. The quality of the ingredients were incredible and the taste..... WOW ! We had a lot of fun, he his funny and charming, we had a great time and highly recommand to take this cooking class.
Absolutely amazing class! We had so much fun shopping in the market for fresh ingredients! The apartment that we cooked in was amazing. We laughed, drank wine and learned new techniques. The best part was that the class only had 8 people. It was very intimate and so much fun to enjoy the meal together. The highlight of our trip!
My family enjoyed the class but hoped for more actual hands-on cooking. the food was delicious.
This was my favorite and #34;tour and #34; so far. Really well done.
This was the best tour/cooking class I have ever taken. Mary was knowledgeable, funny, patient, and an amazing chef. The tour started out with the group determining a menu, strolling to the local market and buying fresh food, and then heading to a loft on the Tevere River to prepare an incredible meal. Wine was plentiful throughout the class and eating our incredible food as a group was the perfect end to a great day! I'd highly recommend this class and if I'm ever in Rome again this would be top on my list to do again.
This was great. An awesome relaxed environment to meet new people and have fun cooking.
Amazing. Chef Monica was organized detailed and made this experience simply enjoyable. I recommend this to anyone that comes to Roma and wants a different experience.
Loved the instructor. Visiting market and walking through Jewish ghetto was very educational. Cooking class was definitely hands on and lunch was great. One of the best things we did in Rome.
