What a day! There is so much to see outside Rome and this tour took us to see it. Pompeii was everything we hoped it would be and Sorrentos charm has been keeping us talking ever since. Never would have been able to have this experience without this tour. Time and money well spent!
No better way to get to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast than the high-speed train. We got to Naples before I had even finished reading my guidebook, which I didnt need thanks to the level of information provided by Fabian and our Pompeii local guide. My wife thought Sorrento was romantic and I have to admit walking through those tiny streets I felt like we were on our honeymoon all over again. Will come again!
Couldnt imagine my trip to Italy without this tour. Our fact-filled guides and the bullet train made it the easiest day of sightseeing and we did so much. Pompeii is one of the most amazing places Ive ever been to, so real. The guide Cesar knew what was under each and every stone. Sorrento was an even bigger surprise. The restaurant Cesar recommended had the most breathtaking view Ive ever seen. Nothing like this back home. The local lemon liquor limoncello was the perfect touch. Will miss Italy this winter!
This was our favorite tour. Pompeii and Sorrento were fabulous. We will be heading back to Sorrento and Capri on our next vacation.
This tour was wonderful. Pompeii was amazing and Sorrento was breathtakingly Beautiful. The small streets that our guides took us to were great for shopping and so quaint. My family had a wonderful time!!!

This trip was perfect!! Chas (Ceaser) our tour guide was brilliant. So full of interesting facts with a great sense of humor thrown in. The guide we had at Pompeii, Enzo was also fantastic.
View for lunch was beyond expectation and then folliwed up with wandering sorrento and Limoncello tasting!
This was a wonderful trip. Even though there were just 22 of us to start, we were still divided into two smaller groups to tour Pompeii, which made hearing the commentary and getting around in general easier. The drive to Sorrento was beautiful and lunch there was in a restaurant with a huge menu and a great view. One highlight for us was the limoncello tasting at two different businesses and time on our own to explore a beautiful city. Fabian is definitely a five star guide----we thoroughly enjoyed our day with him.
What a great day! Pompeii is amazing and Sorrento is everything you would expect and more. Our tour guide for the day Claudio was such a nice guy and enthusiastic about everything he showed us. Highly recommended
Claudio sp? was a terrific guide the best we had over our four guided tours on this trip. He was informative, engaging, and really knew his area. Even when we were with our Pompeii docent guide, Claudio stayed with us and pointed out things our docent almost overlooked. Handling of our small group at the train station at both ends was very good. Our best tour on the entire trip. Sorrento was wonderful as well, and we are convinced we want to return some day!
The BEST way to see Italy in a time crunch. You can enjoy the Italian countryside at 300km/hr on the high speed train, then arrive to a guided tour of Pompeii. A leisurely lunch and visit in Sorrento, then back to Rome by dinner.
Fabian was excellent, he is local from Capri...very knowledgeable!
Luisa our tour guide in Pompeii amazing too..so fun and she knows sooo much...love this tour so far my favorite trip!!
We really enjoyed ourselves. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The fast train was awesome!
The high speed train was an awesome way to get out of Rome quickly. Pompeii was fascinating our guide took us to all the highlights and had so many interesting stories to tell. Sorrento was gorgeous.
This tour was awesome! Taking the train saves so much time compared to the 3 hr bus ride. Fabio and Giancarla was great. Both spoke excellent English. And since the group was small, we all asked lots of questions. Pompeii was unbelievable. Best preserved 2000 year old ruins. Sorrento is LEMONCELLO!!
If you are not going to stay South of Rome and want to see Pompeii and the coastal area near Naples then this is the tour. You start the day at 7AM at the train station and finish at 7:15 PM at the same train station. Because it is a high speed train only 2.5 hours of your day is on the train leaving a full day of touring. Fabian ,our primary guide, and Enrico, our Pompeii guide, were both knowledgable and easy to understand. The restaurant in Sorrento was reasonably priced, had quality food and unbeatable views of the Bay of Naples. Our tour incleded only two couples, but even with a slightly larger group this tour would give more personal attention than any group tour we have been on.
Great tour... Would definitely recommend it. Train journey saves a lot of time and leaves more time for exploring Pompeii and Sorrento. Photo stops along the way to take pictures of the beautiful coastline was much appreciated as was being escorted to our seats on the train.
Wonderful opportunity to take high speed rail from Rome to Napoli. It is about 1 hr away to get to Napoli from the Rome Termini station with comfort. The small group tour was great at the Pompeii with independent English speaking guide. Driving to Sorrento with ocean view was memorable and the affordable pasta lunchout of pocket at an oncean view restaurant and free limoncello tasting was amazing. Free time at Sorrento allows to stroll the small town and to do a window shopping or to pick up a small souvenier. Note: There is guide before the rail to give you the rail tickets, and there will be a guide waiting for you at Napoli station, however, not while you are taking the rail to Napoli. So if traveling alone, do not fall asleep in the rail.
5 Stars for the Pompeii trip but 2-3 for Sorrento. The guide at Pompeii was wonderful and full of knowledge and history. However, the time in Sorrento was cut short because the 1 hour bus ride turned into 2.5 hours. Ok, traffic, they can't control that. BUT, it would not have been so bad if he had told his about the history of Sorrento/Italy etc on the trip. There were 30 minute points of silence which just made us all antsy to even know if we would make the return train from Naples. Sorrento itself was very nice and the restaurant that the tour company partners with was surprisingly wonderful!
Taking the high speed train to Naples rather than a bus saved a lot of time. The entrance to Pompeii is like a Chinese Fire Drill, but once you are in the ruins are amazing. Be sure to wear shoes for walking in the mountains because the surfaces are rough- remember, they are ruins. Also, if you go in the summer bring and wear sunscreen.
Sorrento was another little gem. Lunch was on a covered veranda overlooking the Bay of Naples. Food was good, but not outstanding. We could have used another hour in the town to sightsee or shop. After having to hustle back to Naples for the return train....it was an hour late...
Fabian, our tour guide was fabulous! With traffic snarls due to the June 2nd holiday in Italy, he did whatever it took to get us back from Sorrento to our hotels in Rome. The depth of his knowlege kept us engaged throughout the tour. He and the tour sights were outstanding!
