Experience the sights, scents and delicious cuisine of Rome's Trastevere multi-sensory walking tour of this lively and popular neighborhood. Marvel at the medieval architecture as you duck into favorite local establishments and historic family-run eateries, tasting your way as you go. En route you'll hear first-hand from the families and other residents working to preserve passed-down recipes and culinary traditions, and sample real Roman dishes. Expect to walk away with a better understanding of ways food and culture are so wonderfully intertwined—as well as a satisfied appetite.
This walking tour of Trastevere is a multi-sensory affair: eat amazing Roman food, see the incredible architecture, smell the fresh pizzas and baked goods coming from the restaurants, and hear the lovely Roman accents on the streets of the neighborhood.
Our guide Jennifer was a delight. Very knowledgable and took us to interesting places we probably would not have found or taken the time to visit on our own. We ate and sample many delicacies. The Jewish bakery in the Jewish Quarter served a hot pastry that we consider to be one of the best things we've ever tasted. Jennifer filled us in on lots of the culture, way of life, and history as she lead us from one delicious place to another.
We had so much fun. Andreas was so informative and actually took us 'off tour' to show us some of the local sights. The food was good and we felt we had a true Roman food experience. At the end of our stay we wanted to find time to revisit the Gelato shop because we couldn't find any better in Rome!
The tour was fantastic! We learned a lot and had a great time.
Amazing area of Rome delivered everything that the blurb promised, just incredible experience.
The best tour we've done ever had. Sylvia our guide was on time, informative, interesting and fun. We went to little places we never would have found on our own sampling everything from Farm to table bruchetta with fresh tomatos, zucchini and wonderful cheeses with honey and spicy fig jams. Absolutely recommend it and we will be back next year for certain.

Terrific! Our guide Andrea and his co-guide jacqueline? were wonderful. The food selection, starting with the sour cherry crostada, fried artichoke, ravioli, gelato, etc. was remarkable. It's the first thing we mention when asked about our trip. We had our family of four, plus our guides, so the experience was personal, and flexible to allow a brief detour into an historical church.
Knowledgeable guide sensible numbers food experience v good good feel to the tour. Meeting place probably not ideal but other than that highly recommended.
A great tour of the Trastevere area with fantastic stops for snacks along the way. Andrea was a superb host and only too willing to give great insights not only on the food but also local area and history. I would definitely recommend this tour.
