I took this tour with my mom, Viviana Carbonara was our guide, she is a very knowledgeable and intelligent lady.

Hadrian's Villa is an ancient archaeological site, even before Jesus Christ was born, Viviana with her interesting stories, she helped us live the moment, she simply took us back in time, we love history and she shared with us all the important information we needed to know about this place.

After Hadrian's villa we stopped for lunch, it was a typical Italian restaurant in Tivoli, the food was delicious and everything was perfect.

After that we went to Villa d'Este, another place with very beautiful gardens and fountains, Beautiful villa with very important paintings. Viviana patiently explained about each and every painting, about the different rooms.

I recommend you all to take this tour, as you will go back in time, these two places have different architectural designs.

Hopefully you will have Viviana as a guide, as she is an amazing person.

Thank you for everything.

If you have the time, this trip is not to be missed. Words can not describe the beauty that the eye will encounter. From the gardens, to the fountains, the water ponds, and the overall view, one can only stand in awe of all that you will see. Be prepared to for several stair cases and walking in order to see all that Tivoli has to offer.

Hadrian's Villa is really in ruins - however, it is possible to imagIne it in its grandeur days. Lunch in Tivoli was very good - just right with 2 courses including water, wine and an espresso after. Villa Este is amazing - over 200 fountains - beautiful gardens and views. Our guide, Mara, was a delight! Definitely recommend as a quick day trip from busy Rome. One note - lots of walking, steps and some steep grades. May not be suitable for people with walking difficulties.

Do not hesitate going on this amazing tour. The bus and walking tour was refreshing, informative and so beautiful! Many thanks again to our wonderful guide Inger, for unveiling the details and loveliness of both these awesome places in Italy. Hadrian's Villa is today a pillaged ruins, but Inger greatly brought out the imaginative beauty that it once was when first built. The lunch provided in the darling town of Tivioli was both hearty and delicious at the authentically-styled restaurant. Afterwards, visiting the absolutely amazing Villa d'Este was the ultimate experience for us. Its architecture and interior decorations were over-the-top. Then, strolling through the awesome landscaping and gorgeous hundreds of highly carved water fountains was like heaven on earth. We easily could have lingered there in the gardens for the rest of the day, just enjoying the beauty around us.
