We had a wonderful tour of the Vatican Gardens, including a sighting of Pope Francis as he was leaving his residence. The Gardens were even more beautiful than we expected. The Museums tour was excellent and we saw areas we hadn't been in before. And, of course, the visit to St. Peter's Basilica was equally wonderful. Our guide was knowledgeable, provided excellent information, was able to respond to questions without difficulty. Our pickup was seamless. We highly recommend this tour.
This tour was excellent. Our guide was very knowledgeable and very entertaining. The gardens were beautiful. It felt like we were seeing something very special. The Sistine Chapel was packed with people. It is beautiful, inspiring, but very crowded. I now understand why people say to get there very early. I would not have traded the walk through the gardens for an uncrowded Sistine Chapel though,

If you plan to go to the Vatican, do this early morning tour. It was like we had the gardens to ourselves. Didn’t see other tours until we were done with the gardens. Just beautiful. Highly recommend.

The guide was wonderful. She took the group to areas in the Garden not normally open, Museum she was very informative along with St Peters. Excellent experience and the only way to visit the Vatican.
Don't go to the Vatican if you're going to skip the gardens - cause they're arguably the best part. We booked this tour so we could see parts of the Vatican that most people don't see, and we're extremely glad we did. The gardens were beautiful and very well maintained. The tour guide was great, and did a nice job moving this along smoothly.
I will say, wear comfortable walking shoes, cause the tour is LONG. By the time it ended, we were more than ready for a break. But, if you've got limited time and want to get the most from your visit to the Vatican, this is the best option - hands down.
Excellent guide who was so informative that despite all the walking, we never lost interest in what knowledge she was imparting throughout. The Vatican gardens were a special delight to visit.Thoroughly recommended to all who have time to do more than just visit the skip the line Vaticans museum tour.

i felt very proud and lucky that i booked to Viator - it save me money and the hassle to deal with the lines. The tour was excellent and exclusive. the guide was very knowledgeable and patient.
She answered all the questions and even got out of her way to make this tour memorable.
I love using Viator for all my trips, the price, tour packages and companies they deal with are excellent.
This Tour was taken on September 22, 2017. Our guide was Claudia from Gray Line I Love Rome by Carrani Tour. It was very interesting informative tour and I learned a lot form Claudia. First of all we visited Vatican Gardens which were quite impressive. After that - Vatican Museums which included the Sistine Chapel. The Vatican Museums should be visited several times because one visit certainly is not enough. There is so much to see. In addition to that we have visited St. Peter's Basilica - another highlight of this wonderful tour. Thank you, Claudia, for sharing your knowledge with our small group and being so patient. My suggestion is to take the guided tours of Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica because it will be more productive.
Highly recommend. The gardens are beyond beautiful and it should be at the top of your to do list when in Rome.
The Gardens and Museum access was excellent and well presented by a friendly and knowledgable guide.
I woukd recommend this add on to anyone visiting the Vatican
This was our favourite tour! Our tour guide was upbeat and friendly with alot of interesting facts. We got great pictures in the gardens and
skipping the line is the way to go. Excellent value.
The gardens were lovely. The tour was breathtaking. Skip lines a must! The tour group was half Italian and half English speaking which was disruptive and should have had 2 guides and split the group. That would have been better!
Excellent value for the money. The gardens are spectacular and highly recommended. You can take great pictures of the Vatican from here without all the crowd.
So glad that we chose to do the Vatican Gardens before we did the Museums Tour, as they are absolutely magnificent. We spent two hours touring the gardens with our guide Muna who was excellent. Her knowledge is outstanding, and she had access to areas in the Museums as a senior guide that others did not have. We were left to look at Michelangelo's ceiling in the Sistine Chapel after being told what to look for on it before we went in, which was really useful. All in all a very good experience over the five hours duration.
Great tour of the Vatican museum and garden.
A fabulous experience
Words cannot describe how beautiful everything was. Long walk to get through everything but well worth it. The only tough part was being in the crowd while in the Sistene Chapel. Don't recall being among so many people in that size space inn a lng time. Visiting the Sistene Chapel should probably best be done in a small group on one of the early or late special tours.
The Vatican Gardens are a beautiful and our tour guide was very informative! You'll love it!
This was my favorite tour by far! Maria Theresa was a fantastic tour guide, so informative and interesting, and the gardens were not crowded and were absolutely beautiful and extensive. Such a time saver to skip the lines, and we felt we got to see so much of the Vatican and St. Peter's. Would highly recommend this tour!

I have no idea why more people haven’t jumped all over this amazing tour. It has all of the must sees (Basilica, Sistine Chapel and Museums) but the actual Gardens themselves were the highlight. The Gardens are more than just greenery - they are the tranquil, captivating place where the Popes themselves would go to pray and reflect. They treasured this quiet space bc it allowed them to get away from the bustling crowds and feel closer to God. If you’re looking for a peaceful space this area certainly felt more holy to me than anywhere else on the grounds. Our guide was full of history, insider secrets and little details that made everything come alive. This is a very long tour with a few (but very short) breaks so be prepared. A great plus is that the guide leaves you inside the Basilica so you can continue sightseeing at your own pace. Be sure not to miss the Vatican Gift shop just outside the Basilica. They have everything from rosaries to post cards to holy water at very low prices.
Skip the line and early start options are well worth the price! Our tour started at 8:00 and our guide was extremely helpful in explainiing all the locations and history. It was a full day out, and full of helpful little side notes not otherwise obvious. I will happily recommend this to anyone wanting to get the best out of their time in Rome, especially for Vatican visits. A note to avoid buying a coffee at the bar while waiting!! three times the price of other spots in Rome.
