Five hours is a long time and the Sistine Chapel was too crowded. However this is a once in a lifetime experience. Everyone should do it, especially Christians. Vatican Gardens are nice, so much history and beautiful scenery. Our guide was excellent, she was so passionate, at times she was almost crying when she spoke about Bernini and other Italian artists. Take this tour and fall in love with The Vatican and St. Peters.
exceptional! I enjoyed it. The was well worth it. The tour was long 8:30am-1:30pm but considering it encompasses almost the entire Vatican City, it was worth it. Well paced, guide was very knowledgeable and experienced. A word of advise though, bring a bottle of fluids to stay hydrated and wear comfortable shoes.
the tour was exceptional. Very comprehensive. A little long 8:30am to 1:30pm but considering it encompasses almost the entire vatican city, it was well worth it. Just a word of advise though, make sure you have fluids to stay hydrated and wear comfortable shoes.
The tour guide was charming and very knowledgeable. We started in the gardens and ended in St Peters Basilica which was mind blowing. The tour lasts 5 hours with very little breaks so take a drink with you.
I think the tour guide was outstanding. She knew her subject and conveyed so much useful information in an enjoyable manner. I would rate her among the highest tour guide I've experienced. Keep up the good work of providing top notch tour guides.
Although it was an extremely hot day we started in the garden which was a good idea. Although it was a long tour it was well worth it.
The Sistine Chapel is so very crowded that I may have left the Vatican thinking it was awful. Seeing the gardens, learning the history at a leisurely pace let me really appreciate and enjoy the wonder of this place.
Fantastic, extremely crowded inside the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel, friends say that Rome is now packed 365 days of the year gone are peak and low seasons, so book your tours accordingly to skip the lines. We have visited Rome a few times and this was the first time we had to miss the climb to the Basilica, much to the disappointment of our teenage children, line just ridiculous.
The Vatican gardens are beautiful. Despite our guide having issues with her headset and we were unable to hear her at times it was still a very enjoyable walk through the gardens. We were given time for a lunch break before heading through the Sistine Chapel and Bascilica. I would definitely recommend this walk to other garden enthusiasts
The tour was very beautiful and could have been a little longer in order to be able to not have to pass through things so quickly as we did but my granddaughter and I still enjoyed the tour and we will always remember it.
Gardens are good, Visit to Vatican and Sistine Chapel Too much info from tour guide,, too much to absorb,,
This was an excellent tour and our tour guide was friendly and was full of interesting facts. She added so much to the tour and I would recommend her! She gave us plenty of time to enjoy the sights and ask questions. The gardens, although not in full bloom, were beautiful and a great way to start the tour. Seeing the long lines to get into the different areas of the Vatican plus our wonderful experience made this tour a fantastic value.
It was worth every penny! Our guide was excellent and her stories and knowledge made things come alive!!
How lovely to get to see the Vatican Gardens. We enjoyed our day walking in the beautiful sunshine and cool breezes. The museum was also wonderful and we spent extra time in there because St. Peter's Basilica was closed during our tour. Amazing to see the Sistine Chapel too!
Outstanding tour and overview of the Vatican grounds, Sistine Chapel and St. Peters, plus a few features of the Vatican Museum. The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining and we had plenty of time to see everything. One suggestion is that the guide wear an headset microphone -- her voice would cut out when she turned her head away from her lapel mike.
It was a lovely morning, a charming knowledgeable guide, a small group and not many other tourists around! What more to ask for? The Sistine Chapel was disappointing, too many people and too noisy (noise mainly caused by the call for Silenzio).
I would definitely recommend the gardens. I feel like I got to see completely different side of the vatican.
Excellent tour. It's actually very good value for money as you miss all queues, get to see parts of the Vatican that aren't accessable without being on a tour and learn a lot on your way round. Tour guide was a bit 'no nonsense' but I liked that as the museum was just so big, you had to prioritise what to see as you would be there literally all day otherwise.
A bit of chaos before the tour began as viator have a few different guides running at the same time, so there was a bit of confusion as to who we needed to see, but overal a great experience.
Recommended though, especially for the Vatican gardens.
