Vatican Night Tour with Dinner in the Pinecone Courtyard

Exclusive Vatican Museums Night Tour with Dinner

Meet your guide near the entrance of the Vatican Museums and get escorted past the long lines of people waiting to buy tickets for the Vatican's special evening admission. Get into the museum before the crowds and head straight for the beautiful Pinecone Courtyard, where you'll enjoy a delicious buffet dinner with wine.

After your meal, join your guide and the rest of your group for a tour of the Vatican Museums. Learn about the courtyard where you've just had dinner. Walk through the Gallery of Maps and the Gallery of Tapestries. Admire the exquisite frescoes in the Raphael Rooms, including the famous 'The School of Athens' piece.

The final stop on the tour is the Sistine Chapel, with its enormous frescoes by Michelangelo. Your guide will tell you about the frescoes and the chapel itself before you enter, so when you go inside you can be respectfully quiet and soak in all the artistic and historic splendor.

The tour guide was excellent. She had worked at the museum for some years prior to being a tour guide. The tour included a buffet dinner in the main courtyard of the museum. Pork roast, salad, pasta desert and wine. Their were 2 groups having dinner, with more scheduled after. The museum was open that evening. The description creates the impression that the dinner groups were the only ones with access that evening.

Unfortunately, due to other circumstances I was unable to attend this tour, My Passport, an inconsequential credit card , 86.00 and some receipts were taken by some Indian sorry if you are offended by truth, pickpockets on the Milan Green line train the day before. These are girl gangs that work/hunt in packs and rise quickly to each others defense if they are discovered. An Austrian gentleman lost 9000.00, A very distraught French woman lost 3000.00 her passport, tickets and purse, a lady from California lost 600.00 her tickets and passport, there were others as well. The Italian security forces, Army, and American Embassy workers were extremely helpful. I can't begin to explain their courtesy, help, understanding, in what was an aggravating situation. I was lucky. I also had to miss the Skip the Line: Borghese Gallery and Gardens Small-Group Tour with Transport. Least of the problems for me.

The dinner was as elegant as a buffet dinner can be. The food was plentiful, delicious with many options, and complete with wine and desert. The guided audio tour with headset was excellent.

Knowledgeable and informative host. Museum and Sistine Chapel a splendid venue, a must on any Rome trip. For the night tour the site was busy but not overly crowed, queuing was not a problem. Dinner as a delicious Italian buffet spread, served in a loely outdoor/courtyard setting. No negatives.

Our guide Sev was enthusiastic, very informative and humorous. Very good experience. It was a little long but there is just so much to see. The explanations of the many artworks made it much more personal.
