Bought a 2-day pass and had a great time. George, the owner/driver, was very knowledgeable of the sites and offered additional information beyond the pre-recorded guide. He also ensured that I got back in time to connect with a scheduled train departure. Anna, who redeemed vouchers for tour bus passes, was very helpful in directing me to public transportation that would allow me to visit an attraction earlier than the tour bus in order to meet my time constraints, and then return via the tour bus. When I phoned the office for directions from the train station to the tour bus's departure point, and to inquire on the pickup area for one of the attractions, Jerry patiently advised me. All team members communicated regularly with each other to ensure a seamless tour and transportation for passengers. I highly recommend the tour. A 2-day pass worked well for me despite having to commute between Provo and SLC.
Great tour, was able to see so much of Salt Lake City which you couldn't have done on your own.
Salt Lake City is lovely.
From the time I hopped on the bus, hopped off, made different transfers, and hopped back on another bus, I felt very welcomed. There were two different drivers this particular day, and both were knowledgable, helpful, friendly, and personable. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see the sights that Salt Lake has to offer.
Our driver was extremely knowledgeable and was able to provide additional information about the city and recommendations for additional visits.
We planned our fall trip to Salt Lake City and purchased the perfect tour a month in advance. Only to find on arrival that Viator’s “internet sales sub-contractor” sold us a tour that was discontinued at summer’s end. Jerry the owner Viator Tours answered our phone call for assistance, then personally met us at the visitor’s center and offered several solutions including a personal tour with one of his drivers, George Gonzales. We accepted the private tour and viewed Salt Lake City with this native guide. Beautiful city! Fantastic history! We highly recommend you arrange your Viator tour with this guide. Viator’s outstanding business scruples are RARE and my family and I want to thank Jerry for our wonderful experience. Today, it’s so rare the CEO of a business serving thousands of customers shows personal concern for one unknown family! The Kleinhenz Family, CA
Loved it - sometimes the wait to hop back on was a little long, but with only two buses, I don't know how to avoid that. At time the speakers were a little hard to hear, especially on the open-air bus.
was wonderfull, the only thing I dont like is they dont have someone to explain where we were. them put a casstte when pass in a special place. the New York was better in this way. or them put on a casstte can record more information about the city.
Fun, informative tour. Confusing street identification in SLC made finding the bus difficult. If I didn't go to the convention/welcome center to pick tour up ,I would have never found the bus. Double decker bus was fun on a very nice day. Like all hop on/hop off tours this bus is easy to hop off...not so easy to hop back on. After maybe 15 minutes at a spot you are ready to get back on but bus shows up 45 mins later. Not many people on the tour hopped off.
Really enjoyed this tour though I wish it had run longer in the day so we could have visited more sites. Our driver was informative and entertaining. I left my phone in the bus and the company was great in helping find it. Our final driver of the day even brought it back to our hotel. Thanks again!
It would have been good if the Viator website for this tour had a Route Map and a Stop Arrival Time Schedule. We had to get this on our after a fair amount of looking and calling around in Salt Lake City itself. Other than that, the Hop on Hop off was very good.
All tour guides drivers were good. One was exceptional. I wish I knew his name.
It was a great way to orientate yourself to the city. It's an open bus and this means in the heat of summer it is uncomfortable. It runs on a rigid timetable so you can be left waiting for some time for the next bus.

I was really pleased that the tour was this good. The driver was surprisingly helpful, pointing to the left or right as the automated guide spoke. He put in his commentary along the way at times, too. Additionally, he was helpful with directions.
It was easy to hear and understand the automated guide. The bus was clean and ran on time.
We enjoyed the tour. We had not been to Salt Lake City before and it gave us a good overview of what is of interest in the city.
Trip and guide were great. Rather not have my credit card compromised though.
Driver/guide was great. Very informative and pleasant. Loved Salt Lake City.
Friendly and very informative tour guide, he knew lots about the city, and had a good sense of humour.
Tour guide was very informative. Enjoyed especially Butte Gardens!!
We tried to book a Hop on Hop off with US Bus Utah using Viator's website but unfortunately it did not work for the day we requested. Finally we called Viator directly and talked to a young lady who took our order over the phone but could not explain the problems we had with their website since they were not sold out. When we asked for two Senior tickets were were told that they could sell only one Senior ticket and that the other one would have to be an Adult ticket - a 6 difference. We were then also asked our age. We tried to discuss this with the young lady but to no avail - it wasn't the 6 but the principle. Since we had already spent close to an hour even getting to this point we went ahead and placed the order. However, contrary to what we were told we did get an email indicating that we would have to print the ticket and could not use it as an E-ticket. Unfortunately, we currently do not have the capability to print the ticket. So, after another 1/2 hour of back and forth we finally arranged to get the ticket faxed to us at the hotel. The first time the fax arrived blank, by the way and it took another attempt. So, this was a very difficult birth and not only did we pay more than necessary because of some ignorant employee of yours but we also spent an inordinate amount of time. The actual tour was ok and the employees are friendly and accommodating but the buses are old and need upgrading. Especially the bus 2 is uncomfortable to ride in for any length of time.
Nice staff however due to a bus being out of use, it impacted our day. We could only jump off and stop at two places of about a dozen. And they quit the day so early too - 4pm - they roll up the sidewalks. We wasted probably 4 hours because they started late, ended early and could only swing back around every 90 minutes instead of sooner so you were stuck in spots much too long. I felt we didn't get what we paid for. It should have been discounted or free.
