What You Can Expect

Salt Lake City Sightseeing Tour

Salt Lake City Tour

After pickup from downtown hotels, your Salt Lake City sightseeing tour starts with a visit to the State Capitol Building, followed by a stop at Old Deseret Village, aka Pioneer Village, and a chance to see part of the historical Mormon Trail.

Continue to Temple Square, where you can explore the gardens and enjoy a live recital in the Salt Lake Tabernacle, also known as the Mormon Tabernacle, famous for its organ—one of the largest in the world with 11,623 pipes—and for being the home of the world-renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Next, head to the Lion House, the old pioneer home of Brigham Young, Utah’s first governor, the founder of Salt Lake City and a former leader of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This 1856 building is now a restaurant where you can enjoy lunch (own expense).

After lunch, pass by more Salt Lake City sights like Fort Douglas, the University of Utah, the Pony Express Monument, some of the city’s oldest mansions and churches, and sites from the 2002 Winter Olympics such as Olympic Legacy Plaza, Olympic Village, the Cauldron and Olympic Stadium. Your tour then ends with hotel drop-off downtown.

Informative trip everything you do on trip doesnt cost any thing except lunch on temple grounds. Its cafteria style dining but its pretty good I must say and you get a 10 discount being with the tour. The organ recital was very beautiful. I would recommend that on your own free time you go to state capital building and tour inside the tour just rides you around building outside for its beautiful and quite a lot to see and its free to go inside and tour.

good tour of salt lake city. the start of the tour we had a very heavy rain. it was a cloud burst. the streets were flooded. the windows were fogged up. the rain so hard the bus started to leak. rain so hard driver had hard time driving. with all this going our tour driver got thru it. he called his boss and we got towels to wipe windows so you could see. after about 2 hours the rained stopped. the rest of tour good. without the downpour it be good tour.

I've taken visitors on this tour twice and highly enjoyed it both times. The tour guides are professional yet personable, punctual yet relaxed, and well-informed yet interesting. The van/bus is clean and comfortable. The entire itinerary presented a solid overview of the development, history, and culture of Salt Lake City and surrounding area.

Wonderful tour! Had a very good time. We covered a lot of sightseeing on this tour. Getting to see the temple in person was wonderful. No matter what faith you are...you will appreciate the architecture and the vision of this beautiful city.
