Fantastic View and Historical Too!

Skip the line was well worth it, as we did not need transport to the pickup area and the lines were long. The commentary on the bus was entertaining and informative. The view at Eagle's Nest was wonderful. This was a highlight of our trip to Germany.

The tour is a two faced tour since is an historical tour and also a sightseeing tour. For the historical part I am an history buff and I knew most of the history related to this place, the only more I needed to have was a visit. The view from the terraces are outstanding, they say that is possible to see 200 miles from there in a clear day...the view and the nest makes this tour a nice complement to a visit in the area

This was a great and educational tour. We had great weather leaving Salzburg with the bus, which was punctual. Our tour guide "Walt" provided a very informative narrative of our trip and it was presented in a very understandable manner. He certainly made the tour very enjoyable.

Really enjoyed this value for money tour. Walter the guide was engaging and full of interesting facts. Lunch in Berteschgarten was great (recommend the golden Bear pub). They warn you to take your passport which we needed when crossing into Germany.

Great tour! Our informative guide provided ample history, humour, and guidance to make the trip relaxing and enjoyable. We lucked out with perfect weather, so the view was absolutely spectacular. Only one suggestion: I think the tour could have let us eat lunch up at the top, rather than in a town down the mountain.

We couldn't see the view, because it was showing, but that was an experience in itself. Seamless day, but it would have been nicer to have more time up there. Would organise myself next time.

Rushed and unfriendly

very much like herding sheep, the guide has obviously been doing the tour for a long time and doesn’t really enjoy his job or actually like tourists. The views are spectacular however.

Thank you for choosing Salzburg Panorama Tours and for your honest review regarding our tour to the Eagles Nest. We are sorry to hear that you felt rushed during the tour and that our guide couldn´t convince you. Our guides try their best to create a great time for all our clients. Unfortunately, it is not always to meet everyone's expectations. However, your comments are highly appreciated as there is always place for improvements. We are glad you enjoyed the view and hope we can welcome you again to any of the sightseeing tours we offer. Kind regards, your team from Salzburg Panorama Tours

Very informative but expect large crowds

This was a large bus tour. After the hour or so drive on small roads, we ended up at the parking area. We transferred buses to make our way up the hill. If you have a problem with heights this tour is not for you. The history is fascinating in this place and the views are unbelievable. I would recommend this tour
