What You Can Expect

Mozart in Residenz Chamber Orchestra Concert in Salzburg

Mozart in Residenz 2

Built in the 16th century, the New Residence is located in the heart of Salzburg’s Old Town, and overlooks Mozart Square.

Make your own way to the palace, settling into your seat in Kuenburg Hall. The concert series is played by an acclaimed ensemble (the Salzburg Mozart Players) with members of the Camerata Orchestra and the famous Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg.

Soak up the melodies of the 'Haffner Symphony,' also known as the Symphony No. 35 in D Major, and the overture from The Marriage of Figaro. (For the full concert program, see the Itinerary section below.) Enjoy a rich selection of Mozart’s finest compositions, complemented by top-notch acoustics from this historic venue. A conferencier will moderate along the way, offering witty anecdotes about Mozart's life.

Your evening will conclude at the end of the concert, where you can continue exploring central Salzburg independently, if you choose.
