This was a definite highlight for us. The music and the setting transported you back through the centuries. It was also an intimate setting with a relatively small audience.
A beautiful room filled with wonderful music. Highly professional musicians and the soloist was outstanding. Excellent value for money in a lovely venue. A highlight of our visit to Salzburg.
The setting was magic - an evening stroll through the gardens a floral carpet in various shades of pink, past the Pegasus Fountain as per Sound of Music, then up the marble stairs to the Marble Hall. The Hall is not very large, so we were pleased we had booked in advance, and we were amazed to find we had front row seats - close enough to read the music. We wished we had also thought to have reserved a table somewhere for dinner - recommended restaurants in the area were all fully booked. The concert was superb - a string quartet and a horn soloist. Back to the hotel under a full moon. A memorable night!
The concert was spectacular. The venue was stunning. The room was a good match for the chamber ensemble. We really enjoyed the selections and the skill of the performers was top knot have.
Very enjoyable concert. Venue easy to reach with good ambiance. Musicians excellent.
Booked this for my youngest son. Great concert by ensemble from Vienna Philharmonic
This is just the best concert I've been to! We booked very early and got the first seat in the middle. Such a great chance to see that the musicians enjoyed playing their parts A LOT!! And every one was just SOOO into the music. I went to different concerts in East Europe and this is definitely the best experience I've ever had.
Just a point to note for tourists like me, to clap hands at the right time, because the end of a movement may not signal the end of the entire song.
Just a must to go for music lovers if you visit Salzburg.
A beautiful venue and outstanding concert. The orchestra was wonderful and we would certainly wish to revisit.
Simply a wonderful small Concert in a beautiful venue. Highly recommended.
Fabulous. We had front row seats. Amazing professional performers. Room was beautiful. Highly recommend.
Excellent concert with 8 musicians playing period instruments. One of the most amazing concerts we have seen and in a great setting. The style and complexity of the pieces was breathtaking. If you love classical music, this concert is really worth going to....a highlight of our trip.
This concert was outstanding. We had front row seats and enjoyed the expressions and the close up techniques that the musicians displayed....they were very talented and first rate.
This was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our visit to Salzburg.
Held in the Marble Hall of the Schloss Mirabell, it was a most opulent and fitting setting for the concert. The programme included pieces by Mozart naturally and Vivaldi, played with extraordinary skill and flair by Orchestra 1756. From our seats in the centre of the first row it was a joy to watch such talented artists clearly relishing playing together.
All in all I could not recommend this concert more highly.
This was probably the most beautiful venue I've ever been in. The experience was a memory of a lifetime.
The one issue was that it wasn't clear to us which gate we were to go to. At the first gate where we thought we were supposed to be there was a sign for a concert that started earlier, and we thought we had missed our concert. It was a bit of luck and persistence that lead us to the correct entrance.
Both pianist and violonist were exceptional. Sorry I cannot remember their names. It is also exciting to be in the Mirabell Building Marble Hall in which Mozart played.
I really enjoyed the music but did not enjoy the children that was running loose and no one was taking care of them.
I got the best seat in the house, thanks to you. I was right in front of the pianist and violinist who both hit every note pitch perfect. This is a must experience for any Salzburg visit.
I attended the Schloss Mirabell concert and had a wonderful time. The concerts are always different and a schedule is available at the Mirabell Palace. The night I went, there were three excellent female musicians playing Mozart and Bach on piano, cello, and violin. I purchased advanced seating and was positioned in the middle front row only a few feet from the musicians. The venue is beautiful with very good acoustics and the music was wonderful. Because the concerts are all different, it is hard to know exactly what to expect but I was very pleased by superior seats to an excellent concert in a spectacular and historical setting.
This was exellcent. Very high level of musicians, and a wonderful setting and atmosphere - indeed one of the highlights of our trip
Beautiful venue with great acoustics! It was a relatively small room in the palace, and the musicians were outstanding, making it personal and very rewarding. We brought our 9-yr-old son who loves classical music, and the musicians were available during the break for him to speak to, which made it a perfect evening for us.
