Begin with pickup at your accommodations in Zell am See, then travel west across Austria in a private vehicle. Cross the border into the Principality of Liechtenstein—this is the 6th-smallest country in the world—and enjoy views of the mountainous countryside filled with high peaks, castles, and historic villages.
Cross the second border of the day into Switzerland, and continue to Maienfeld, an Alpine community made famous by the 19th-century children’s story ‘Heidi.’ You’ll have one hour in Maienfeld to visit the Heidimuseum and Heididorf, a one-street village with the original Heidi house, the smallest post office in Switzerland, and even a few resident goats whose enclosures have sweeping views of the Rhine Valley (entrance fees in Maienfeld are own expense).
After your time in Maienfeld, keep driving through the Alps to Interlaken, where this 10-hour tour concludes with drop-off at your Interlaken accommodations.
Please note: this tour is priced per-group, based on a group size of 1–8, or 9–13 people.
