What You Can Expect

San Antonio City Lights Ghost Tour by Segway

Is the San Fernando Church Haunted?

In the evening, make your own way to downtown San Antonio to meet your guide.

Start with a safety briefing and short lesson on operating the easy-to-learn Segway controls. Once you're ready, which usually takes just a few minutes of practice, your guide sets off on your on Segway tour of San Antonio.

Hear informative commentary about the sights you pass as you glide by places that are rumored to be haunted, including historic buildings such as Menger Hotel, Emily Morgan Hotel and La Villita Historic Arts Village. Continue along vibrant Houston Street to World Heritage-listed the Alamo, founded by the Spanish in the late 1700s and the site of the bloody battle where Davey Crockett, Jim Bowie, Colonel Travis and many others fought during the final battle of the Texas Revolution of 1836.

See the handsome architecture of the San Antonio Convention Center and visit the Cathedral of San Fernando, built in 1734 by settlers from the Canary Islands. Learn about the soldiers from the Battle of the Alamo that are entombed in the cathedral cemetery.

Ride by the sparkling Tower of the Americas, located in HemisFair Park and once the country's tallest observation tower. Built for the 1968 World's Fair, the opening ceremonies for the fair took place just two days after Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated, with Lady Bird Johnson and Texas Governor John Connally both attending with intense security due to death threats.

Along the way, enjoy frequent stops for photo ops and hear entertaining facts and spooky ghost stories from your guide. Your tour ends after 1.5 hours when your guide returns you to your starting point.

We had a group of four visiting on a business trip and were treated to a very enjoyable Segway tour with our host, Joseph. Our only regret was that we did not go on this adventure earlier in our trip as we were given local spots to visit as well as restaurants worth trying. Next time we will start with this Segway tour to help us direct our later activities!

This tour was amazing! Robert the guide knows San Antonio and the ghost stories were interesting. Robert also pointed out things about San Antonio I had never heard or seen before. The Segway was easy to learn to use and lots of fun to drive. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting San Antonio
