Had a fun day hop on hop off and then a boat ride too. Great day.
Our early morning riverwalk cruise was informative and pleasant, with very few of us on the cruise at that early hour. The hop on/hop off tour was most awesome for the variety of sights to see and the reliable transportation to some of San Antonio's best shopping experiences over 2 days.
Very good on time and informative
Great way to be introduced to the city. The bus was comfortable and our guide was fun and knowledgeable. The river walk is amazing and the cruise was perfect.
Fabulous we loved everything about San Antonio we will definitely be back! Our River Walk Cruise sure did set the scene for an amazing stay, loved it.
Our tour guides we're not only informative but generally funny and made the experience joyful. I wish I could have stayed longer. SAN Antonio was more fun than New Orleans!!!!
My husband and I really liked the hop-on and off bus. We got to see everything we wanted and didn't have to drive our car. Loved the Riverwalk boat ride beautiful.
I highly recommend if your tour guide/driver is Joseph, he made the tour fun with his great personality. He made my family and I feel right at home, we didnt feel rushed or felt once like we had questions about our tour he was very knowledgeable and did a great job!
The hop-on hop-off bus tour was perfect. A great way to get an overview of the city. The drivers were very informative. The river boat ride was awesome. My husband and I enjoyed it so much, we took the boat ride a second time to see the River Walk at night. We highly recommend this if you are a first timer to San Antonio. There are a nice selection of restaurants and shops to choose from on the River Walk.
A few tips and things:
Exchange your voucher from viator at the visitor center near the alamo FIRST before attempting to get on the boat or bus. They accept only those TICKETS.
Weekdays are the best times to travel of course and on weekends, the earlier, the better.
Make sure you grab a map before you get on the busses, they will show you all the stops, so you can open up google maps and see what stop to get off to be close to your intended visit. For instance, we got off at the friendlyspot stop and walked back to Liberty bar where we wanted to be.
We had Kat who was fantastic. She had a massive amount of knowledge and a great sense of humor. She is always upbeat and enthusiastic, but she does take her guides seriously so respect that I guess. We also had Robert B. who was so friendly, he had a whole other bunch of interesting facts and information to share. Just an all around joy to ride with really.
This btw is also a great way to just ride around and catch pokemon and pokestops while someone else drives. JS
As for the boats, we had a gentleman who just returned after shoulder surgery, man he was amazing. We enjoyed the cruise he gave us so much, I wish I had taken a few dollars to tip him actually.
If you don't like being crammed in, squashed, bumped and all that drama, do the earlier cruises like we did. We did one on a Saturday, mind you, around 9:40 and it was perfect.
Loved it like I said and will definitely return. Hope these tips help make someone else's trip better, cause reviews sure helped us. Boats are 10 dollars btw and bus is 26 dollars for a full day with each guided tour from stop one to stop 18 being an hour. This deal on viator though, turns that into a 48 hour bus pass.
