One of the many sights you can visit during the course of your ride is Old Town State Historic Park, often called the “Jamestown of the Pacific,” where you can discover the history of California’s founding amidst the area’s range of 19th-century buildings. Operates 9:00am to 6 pm (last tour departs Old Town at 4 pm) from March 11-October 29th; Operates 9:00am to 5 pm (last tour departs Old Town at 3 pm) from October 30th-March 10th; Trolleys arrive at each boarding location approximately every 20 minutes. Guests will be given brochures when they begin the tour and can refer to the schedules printed in the brochure to see the first tour time, last tour time, and last re-boarding time at each boarding location. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city, but it’s equally enjoyable for locals.
You can get off and on at your whim to explore the area, it was a very enjoyable day.

The San Diego Hop on Hop Off Trolley Tour was nice. I recommend that if you book this activity to you check the dates when you make your reservation and again when you receive the email confirmation.
I had a problem with my dates being incorrect. I reached out to my travel agent with Viator, and she quickly contacted customer service to resolve the issue. Thanks to her assistance, I ended up getting a full refund.

It is okay to get the feeling of the city, but wouldbe nice to have a bit more stops on the way - driver is very informative, but you don't even have the time to take the photos. I made a couple of stops, and some drivers are better narrators than the others. Also important that you don't have people talking all the time around you, which can ruin the experience.
