The huge surprise is that the indigenous peoples took over the island in the 60s and bargained for better treatment by the US govt! Touché 👍🏻👍🏻 The birds are phenomenal! Do take a quiet walk down the paths surrounding the prison and be amazed by the gardens and unusual birds. We were able to delay our bike ride until the next day and that was soooo great: we had a whole day to ride over the Golden Gate, into Sausalito (take ferry back) and to go to various places all over SF in the safe, bike-only lanes. Christian at unlimited biking also gave us great restaurant suggestions and adjusted our bikes perfectly to our comfort.

Fantastic trip and great value. Alcatraz is so interesting and this trip is fab, we biked over the bridge to a gorgeous little village then biked back. We got fabulous photos and made some amazing memories loved it

I loved the history of the buildings itself. I had no idea there was living corridors on the island with family and stuff. The island is full of birds and it’s so beautiful and fun to learn everything there.

The most memorable was learning about the prisoners such as Al Capone and others. Seeing their recreational center with the many steps and seeing where they played baseball. The most memorable was seeing the fake heads used by the two escape prisoners and the hole they made to escape through.

Items included are clearly stated in the sales program. It was a bullet point list of items. Step one: We send an email that says "AlcatrazVoucher" Step two: Guest Opens the "Alcatraz Voucher" file Step three: Guest Shows the voucher on your phone.
