Alcatraz with San Francisco Bay Cruise

Going early and off season, there were only three people of the cruise of San Francisco Bay. Great way to see the city via the bay. The audio guide was very interesting. Alcatraz tour was very interesting.... learned so much about the history of this national park. Just prepare to do a lot of walking on the island including a steep hill. I would highly recommend this tour.

The Alcatraz tour and the Bay to Bay tour was really good. Very informative and a lot of information was given. The views were amazing in the Bay and great weather day as well. Guides were helpful and the tour was a fun and informative tour.

This was a really great excursion! The audio tour is very interesting. Make sure to wear walking shoes, as the grounds are steep and sometimes uneven. Give yourself plenty of time to see all of the island! I'd say about 3 hours is enough! Absolutely worth it!

My wife and I came to San Francisco on vacation, and this was on our list to do. Alcatraz didn’t disappoint, very informative.

Meeting and speaking with the lady who ran the pre-board/boarding area. She has a pleasant demeanor and is very knowledgeable. The tour itself was great. I really liked that you go at your own pace while listening to the audio device as it guides you through the facility. There was also a train available to take tourists with disabilities and/or who could not make it up the long/steep hill to get to the facility. The price included a cruise of San Francisco Bay, which was awesome and can be completed at your convenience either the same day or on another day. We had a very clear, sunny day, the sights were great and the narration was very informative.

Alcatraz is a very interesting place to visit. Bay cruise is beautiful and relaxing. Highly recommended tour.

We enjoyed the Alcatraz part of the tour. Great directions on how to get to the location for the boat to take you to Alcatraz. You get your own time on the island and can come back at anytime that the boats are leaving from the island. The bay cruise voucher was very confusing. We were told we could take any cruise at any time. When we should up for the cruise tile we wanted they said they were sold out and we were leaving the next day, so we paid for a voucher we cousins even use. Luckily the people that worked at the ticket office felt so bad for us that they let us go on a different cruise they offered. If they hadn’t been that nice, we would have lost out on what we paid for. I called Viator and they offered no refund. So, I don’t recommend this tour unless you’re ok with not going on the bay cruise.
