Peace was our tour guide. We thoroughly enjoyed it because he is a thoughtful, caring, knowledgeable guide. He went WAY above and beyond and showed us a wonderful time in this beautiful city. Along the way, he showed us many unexpected sites that weren't listed on the tour guide! We highly recommend Hippie tours--it's a fantastic value and makes for a great day! If you're ever in San Fran, look for Peace you will not regret it!

This was an excellent tour. Peace showed my wife and I a great time. As the tour group was small for the day thank you holidays weekends drawing all the guests away, we had all the time we wanted at the various sites. He even took us to areas not usually on the tour. And gave us tons of info about the areas and history. We walked the Golden Gate Bridge, toured both sides and the vista overlooking the bay. Beautiful!!! We stopped in Sausalito and had lunch our dime and well worth it. Toured the houseboat areas. Toured Muir Woods, to include tons of information on the trails to help us find our best way to see as much as possible. Drive-by of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Jopiln, and the Dead's homes. Twin Peaks. Truly an amazing day. Would recommend it to anyone. Have a blast!!!

Is there any way to have any more fun on a personalized tour of San Francisco, Sausalito and the Muir Woods?

Peace Man showed up at my place a little early, but didn't come banging on the door. When were ready, he politely greeted us, and advised us it would be just us two who booked the trip today. Per our request, he showed up in the VW Bus, HIPPIE5. The bus was clean, freshy restored and freshly painted. Peace asked us where we wanted to go first, totally personalizing the trip to our wishes. We opted to do the trip as the description listed. Along the way, Peace filled our trip with fun and interesting facts that only a San Francisco insider would know about the various areas. When we reached the Golden Gate Bridge, Peace gave us a choice to either ride in HIPPIE5 over the bridge, or to walk across. We chose to walk, and asked how long did we have to make it across the bridge. Peace said, Just take your time. Its your day, I'll wait for you on the other side. So, we ambled across the bridge, and upon reching the other side, sure enough, we found Peace waiting for us, telling us to go see the visitor's center, and enjoy. After we were done, we headed across to Sausalito for lunch, with Peace pointing out all the different places to eat and again a no pressure statement to take our time and take in the views of the lovely town.

Peace then took us to the Muir Woods, providing us the history of the area. Once again, he reminded us that we have him for the full day, so choose whichever trail we wanted to take, and have a good time. He gave us some information about the various trails so we could make a good decision, especially because I am recovering from an injury.

On the way back, Peace Man took us to the third side of the Golden Gate Bridge for more pictures. He then, brought us back to where we were staying, and I tried to give him a tip, and he declined, saying Pay it forward! Perfect ending to a perfect Hippie tour!! PEACE OUT!!

Our tour guide really made this day enjoyable - Peace had a lot of knowledge and was very friendly. We were very fortunate as the other members of the group never showed-up and we had the option to customize the day to our liking - which was fantastic.

Sausilito was definitely worth seeing - a very cool town with interesting shops to explore. I would not recommend th expensive hamburger shop - go for the fish and chips - good service at a reasonable price.

Muir Woods was beautiful and absolutely worth visiting. We got some great nature pictures.

I would definitely recommend this trip - ask for Peace to be your tout escort- I can guarantee a great day!

1 star rating: I do not recommend this July 2015

I felt quite uncomfortable a lot of the time as I was the only person booked on for my tour. The entrance fee for Muir Woods is not included, but my guide made me feel awkward by telling me to not pay. Seeing the Golden Gate Bridge from all of the different viewpoints was good, but didn't make up for the rest of the tour. It felt very unorganised and a lot of the day was spent driving. Based on the fact that the tour was meant to be approx. 5 hours and 30 minutes, I had tickets to an event that night but as the tour ended up being more like 7-8 hours because of the amount of driving around, I missed the event. I wouldn't recommend this tour.
