Trip GREAT, no air on return VERY BAD
    Jean_O
    , Sep 2022
The overall trip was great. Donillo was friendly and kept us on time but return trip from Carmel was miserable. There was no air at all in the entire bus. Passengers were VERY uncomfortable and driver was aware. Knowing we had no air and was 95 degrees would have been nice to have stopped for water at least. Gave a 4 rating but would have been a 5 otherwise.

    Not the best
    Ashley_I
    , Sep 2022
This was one I think we should’ve done ourselves with the self guided audio. The bus smelled terrible with the bathroom leaking all over the floor. Our tour guide, Denilo (?) repeated himself often and didn’t offer a lot of knowledge we didn’t already know. It was mostly sitting on the bus with brief bursts of picture taking. Definitely better off renting a car and doing it as you like.

    Stinking Bathroom
    Patricia_M
    , Aug 2022
The tour itself was great and the tour guide was awesome! But the bus has a bathroom and it STINKS whenever someone opens it to use it. The smell lingers for 15 minutes after. It was really uncomfortable for the back half of the bus. It was not sanitary. It kinda ruined the whole experience!

    Very Disappointing!
    Beatrice_D
    , Aug 2022
Sitting in the bus for 2 hours waiting for them to send someone to come fix it! No partial refund or compensation was offered. The shops in Carmel were closed by the time we got there. The Bus Driver was wonderful, felt sorry for him. People didn’t even tip him at the end. It wasn’t his fault. It was Corporate that obviously didn’t really care!

This was well worth the price. Our tour guide Antonio was the absolute best! Any setbacks were made better with his fun energy and stories. I would recommend getting a headset for your drivers though. Antonio did well without it but had to hold a microphone in one had while her drives which can be a safety concern. The tour was great but maybe a little too long in Carmel and Cannery Row..maybe adding another stop and making those shorter would be better.

    TERRIBLE
    Jessamine_M
    , Jul 2022
The agenda/views are great but unfortunately our tour guide was horrible. First of all he arrived super late and didn’t seem to be bothered by it. He never introduced himself. He spent most of our time being condescending, sarcastic, and rude. He made an effort to speak to us as children when all of us are adults. His people skills are poor. It made this long day unbearable. It’s obvious that this type of job isn’t for him. We all paid a big price tag for this adventure and it was a big disappointment. I don’t recommend this tour to anyone unless they invest in a better tour guide.

This was a very long day, but our tour guide was awesome. I wish we would have left the people who were constantly 20 minutes late at each stop as it made the day even longer. I do not think we needed that much time at Carmel. More time in Monterey would have been nice.
icon Response from Host , Jul 2022
Hello, Mary! Thank you for writing a review about our tour. It's sad that some people don't respect the time we set for each place we stop and that ends up upseting the whole group... Glad it was an enjoyable day and glad to hear that our tour guide did a good job. We hope to see you again soon! Isabela Vieira, Sales and Marketing Coordinator Gray Line of San Francisco
