Amazing tour I loved it, the park is incredable and the guide very good
Really enjoyable experience with a professional tour leader who was extremely friendly and informative. Would definitely recommend.
Glad we picked this tour. The small group was the way to go. Our tour guide, Patrick, made our time even better. Muir Woods was chilly so take warm clothes for the walk. The views were just gorgeous--have your camera ready! Our stop in Sausalito was enjoyable. It's a pretty quaint area. You won't be disappointed.
We thoroughly enjoyed doing this trip, especially in a small group rather than a large coach. It made the trip more personal. The woods are majesty and a must see if you are visiting San Francisco. Patrick, our tour guide was very entertaining and knowledgable about both the woods and the history of Sausalito. He had us interacting in music quizzes and singing along together. He went out of his way to accommodate all our needs.
Our guide Patrick was wonderful! He is very knowledgeable about the Bay area and full of fun facts. Muir Woods is breathtaking. We had about an hour and a half to walk the trails which was enough time to take in the beauty. Sausalito is a cute town to grab lunch after touring Muir Woods. We did not have enough time to shop and have lunch so we choose lunch. If you want to extend your stay, take advantage of taking the ferry back to Fisherman's Wharf. Patrick gets bonus points for the chocolate stash!
Driver and tour guide was very informative and funny as well. The sights in Muir Woods were absolutely amazing and really cool to drive over the Golden Gate Bridge as well. You could tell the guides passion for San Francisco and Muir Woods and it made the tour that much better, also a nice stop in Sausalito. Vehicle was great and driver was right on time!
The tour driver was very nice, had a lot of information and a great driver. We had a great time at Muir Woods despite the rain. It is a truly amazing place to see. Sausalito was a beautiful place to see picturesque! It just was not enough time to really browse in all the stores.
We were on a cruise ship and I was thinking is this going to work? Worked just fine. The guide/driver was exactly on time. We were in a small Mercedes van, 14 seats. Got a good overview of SF, crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and headed on to Muir woods. Beautiful walk through the last of the old sequoias. We had almost 2 hours at Muir woods and walked up to the 4th bridge and back. Then it was on to Sausalito. Fun to browse up and down the beach road.
The driver was very knowledgable. Overall a great tour. About 40 less than the cruise line tour.

I booked this tour for the second day of our two day stop in San Francisco. Patrick, our guide/driver picked us up from our designated location right on time. He stopped at the Golden Gate Bridge for a few moments so everyone was able to get some fabulous pics. He was very entertaining and provided great commentary throughout our drive to Muir Woods, and got us there before the crowds which was very nice. We spent an ample amount of time there before heading to Sausalito for an hour then back to San Francisco. In my opinion going small group is by far a better option.
Small size makes it all the more better as the guide is able to explain and pay attention to every member.
Richard was a great tour guide...a bundle of knowledge! The Woods were perfect! Sausalito, while busy, is so lovely. A nice respite on a very busy vacation.
Richard our driver, was very pleasant, informative and a good driver.
Our tour guide, Paul, was nothing short of fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable, well versed in the flora, fauna, city amenities, statistics, architecture, real estate, etc. He was timely and took the time to distribute the type of leaves we were to see, the pine cones that produced the seeds, and pointed out important places for us to observe. He, by far, was the reason that we enjoyed San Francisco so very much. We would highly recommend your service without reservation.
Great trip - our tour host was excellent - very informative - I would recommend this tour
I booked this tour for my two granddaughters and daughter. We had a great time.
Muir Woods was amazing! Beautiful gigantic trees took my breath away. Sausalito was nice... pretty town by the water. Paul our tour guide was wonderful.
Best of the best! Patrick is absolutely informative as well as entertaining! The Muir Woods were so beautiful. The only downfall was that we ran into a bit of construction on the way back which cut into our time in Sausalito. Patrick made our ride so much fun it was worth it!
Great tour. Just remember when you get to Muir Woods you have to pay the entrance fee. Also, I would recommend to stay longer in Sausalito and take the ferry back to SF. We had lunch and did not have time to walk along the water.
This was a terrific tour. Our tour guide Allan was very informative and the Woods were a delight. We chose to stay in Sausalito and catch the ferry back which we greatly enjoyed. A 'must do' when visiting San Francisco
Well worth visiting this amazing park! Our tour guide was fun and knowledgeable !
Our tour driver, who unfortunately I cannot recall his name, was funny and knowledgeable. He is the one that said his other job was an actor and was also a lead singer in a band before. Anyway, as a native San Franciscan, he was able to tell us a lot about the city with the lesser known facts on the way to Muir Woods, and also told us a lot about the music history in Sausalito. He gave us plenty of time to take photos of the Golden Gate Bridge, and sprinkled along the way all the fun facts about the place and the people.
We had sufficient time in Muir Woods although if you desire to actually walk the hiking trails, you may want to come back another time. We opted for taking the ferry from Sausalito back to the city on our own rather than taking the very comfortable bus back. Either way, it is a great tour if you prefer a smaller group and freedom to do your own thing during the stops.
We Thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Muir Woods was like being in the presence of God. The sign said enter quietly. When your are in the grove it is SO quiet there. To be among those big trees, to put your hand out and touch something that is 900 years old makes you feel really small. Our tour guide was AWESOME! He was very knowledgeable about San Francisco area. He stopped and got us all a Giardelli chocolate. On the way to Sausalito he played a game with us with the music that came from that little town. We chose to ride back with the bus from Sausalito. It was a quaint little village with beautiful views of Alcatraz and the bay. We would recommend this tour.
Great tour. The woods are wonderful and Sausalito is a lovely town - very picturesque.
