What You Can Expect

Napa and Sonoma Wine Country Tour

Napa Valley, Califormia

Let your guide handle the driving and relax as you sip your way through California’s wine country! After morning pickup at your San Francisco hotel, settle into a luxury coach equipped with onboard amenities including a restroom, reclining seats and Wi-Fi. Hear tales of Spanish missionaries and Gold Rush fortune seekers from your guide as you cruise across the Golden Gate Bridge and through the rolling green hills and pastures of Sonoma Valley.

Your first stop is the family-run Nicholson Ranch Winery, a villa-like estate nestled in the southern foothills of Sonoma. Taste fantastic chardonnay, pinot noir and merlot varietals while savoring views of gently sloping vineyards from the patio. Continue on to the world-famous Napa Valley for a tour and tasting at Madonna Estate, a family-run winery that produces organic wines in the acclaimed Carneros winemaking region.

Indulge your appetite with a stop for lunch in Napa’s charmingly chic town of Yountville (own expense). Choose from Michelin-starred restaurants, casual bistros or picnic provision spots, and enjoy free time to browse specialty shops like Kollar Chocolates, local art galleries and the historic V Marketplace.

Next, it’s time for more wine at Sutter Home, your final stop of the day. Sip different varietals in the tasting room while learning how this Napa Valley classic grew from a small, family-run operation in the late 1800s to one of the most recognized winemaking names in the United States.

Back on the coach, savor the late afternoon sun and your wine-induced glow on the return drive to San Francisco, where your tour concludes with hotel drop-off.

We went back in September 2016. Getting picked up from the hotel was fine, but they dropped us off at the main tour office to split off into the correct tours. That portion was quite crazy and confusing, and we didn't get onto our bus until almost an hour past scheduled start. Outside of that, the tour was amazing! Great tour guide, we got to go to three wineries, and our tour guide was so kind enough to bring us up to a great vantage point to take photos of the Golden Gate Bridge since we were good on time. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone without a car or if you're not savvy with wine. However, if you're a wine connoisseur, I would suggest to stay away since the selection of wineries is not the ultimate best in Napa Valley.

The tour guide was really humourous and worked hard to keep me up to date regarding return times. We went to some interesting wineries and each had staff who wanted to teach us about Napa wine. I had a wonderful time in wine country.

Great tour and the bus drive, Kabosh, was very informative and entertaining. The 3 wineries were all different and the tour guides at the wineries were interesting. Lunch in the town of Yountville was superb. Many places to choose from and it was a delightful diversion. The price for this tour cannoot be beat!
