Why Travelers Choose This Tour

This tour visits small-scale wineries and heavy-hitters alike with all tastings included.
Let your guide handle the driving and relax as you sip your way through California’s wine country. After leaving the city of San Francisco in the morning, settle into a luxury coach equipped with onboard amenities including a restroom, reclining seats, and Wi-Fi. Hear tales of Spanish missionaries and Gold Rush fortune seekers from your guide as you cruise across the Golden Gate Bridge and through the rolling green hills and pastures of Sonoma Valley.

Your first stop is the family-run Nicholson Ranch Winery, a villa-like estate nestled in the southern foothills of Sonoma. Taste fantastic chardonnay, pinot noir, and merlot varietals while savoring views of gently sloping vineyards from the patio. Continue on to the world-famous Napa Valley for a tour and tasting at Madonna Estate, a family-run winery that produces organic wines in the acclaimed Carneros winemaking region.

Indulge your appetite with a stop for lunch (own expense) at Sonoma Square Plaza, one of the largest plazas in California, and pick from multiple charming restaurants.

Next, it’s time for more wine at Sutter Home, your final stop of the day. Sip different varietals in the tasting room while learning how this Napa Valley classic grew from a small, family-run operation in the late 1800s to one of the most recognized winemaking names in the United States.

Back on the coach, savor the late afternoon sun and your wine-induced glow on the return drive to San Francisco, where your tour concludes.

Please note: Depending on the day of your tour, the order of the wineries you visit, as well as which wineries you visit could change depending on availability and other determining factors.

Fabulous experience! The best tour that we've done. A must for everyone who loves wine. Our tour guide/driver (Hosen) was very informative and entertaining. Hope I spelt his name correctly.

I had a great time! I was celebrating my birthday along with 9 other friends and decided it would be best to do this because we wanted everyone to be able to drink & enjoy themselves. We had so much excitement right when we got on the bus. But our tour guide was sending negative vibes from the start. I felt like I was being scolded by a parent the whole time. We all didn't think he even enjoyed his job, which made it very difficult for us to want to listen to him. For someone that is going to be guide a WINE tour where people will be drinking alcohol, you'd think he'd be a little more laid back and chill, or even happy. We weren't even that loud and he kept shushing us. A couple times he's mentioned very eerie details during the tour, like bringing up how many people have jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge and how San Franciscans would "gladly push you off" because there's already too many people in SF. It was a total buzzkill from my birthday celebration. Aside from that, we had a wonderful time. We made friends with another group that was also celebrating their birthday (Happy Birthday Courtney!) The winery choices were wonderful (Viansa, Madonna Winery and Sutter Home). We got to stop in the little downtown in Yountville and had lunch at R&D Kitchen. If you're going with a larger group, I'd suggest a private tour. But I think this option was best for smaller groups.

Great locations and wine, perfect day trip out of San Francisco. Guide was great, shared a lot of interesting info about the areas including SF itself. Vineyards were more focused on wine tasting and the history of each vineyard, not much about the wine making process.

Lovely vineyards included in the tour. Viansa was a small winery we visited and it was by far the most scenic. The drive was relaxing and overall an excellent experience.

Amazing time. The driver was funny and informative! He gave us so much history about San Francisco, Sonoma & Napa Valley. He also educated my husband and I about wine. I would highly recommend this tour!

I've done a few of these napa/sonoma tours over the years and this one falls in the avg category. The good - The driver was knowledgable and very friendly. The bus was comfortable to travel in. The first two stops were estate vineyards and both were very good. The Bad - The third stop was at Sutter home and the last place I want to visit in wine country is a winery that sell $6 bottles at every store near my home. The grounds of Sutter were pretty but the wines were meh. So many amazing places to visit and that's the place we ended the tour. The bus had 50 people on it so it was difficult to navigate each stop. Tours I've taken in the past were like 12 people and the same price so I would have gone with another company if I knew it was such a large group. Also, we stopped in Yountville for lunch. We spent 10 min driving around to point out all the places to eat and then parked. We chose the furthest place because is was highly recommended and would allow us to walk through the town since we had plenty of time. What we were not told is that the wait was going to be 1.5 hours so we had to settle for the patio and a limited menu because if we traveled back towards the bus, we may not have had enough time to eat anything. Speaking of lunch, I called the tour company the day before to find out where lunch would be and if there were other food options along the way. They said we could bring snacks but that we would be eating in Sonoma square....we did not. My other tours stopped at more than 3 wineries. I'd leave this one as a last resort if you can and try another.
