Why Our Insiders Chose This Tour

What You Can Expect

Napa and Sonoma Wine Country Tour

Napa Valley, Califormia

Let your guide handle the driving and relax as you sip your way through California’s wine country. After morning pickup at your San Francisco hotel, settle into a luxury coach equipped with onboard amenities including a restroom, reclining seats, and Wi-Fi. Hear tales of Spanish missionaries and Gold Rush fortune seekers from your guide as you cruise across the Golden Gate Bridge and through the rolling green hills and pastures of Sonoma Valley.

Your first stop is the family-run Nicholson Ranch Winery, a villa-like estate nestled in the southern foothills of Sonoma. Taste fantastic chardonnay, pinot noir and merlot varietals while savoring views of gently sloping vineyards from the patio. Continue on to the world-famous Napa Valley for a tour and tasting at Madonna Estate, a family-run winery that produces organic wines in the acclaimed Carneros winemaking region.

Indulge your appetite with a stop for lunch in Napa’s charmingly chic town of Yountville (own expense). Choose from Michelin-starred restaurants, casual bistros or picnic provision spots, and enjoy free time to browse specialty shops like Kollar Chocolates, local art galleries, and the historic V Marketplace.

Next, it’s time for more wine at Sutter Home, your final stop of the day. Sip different varietals in the tasting room while learning how this Napa Valley classic grew from a small, family-run operation in the late 1800s to one of the most recognized winemaking names in the United States.

Back on the coach, savor the late afternoon sun and your wine-induced glow on the return drive to San Francisco, where your tour concludes with hotel drop-off.

The trip was very well organised and our guide/bus driver was phenomenal. You could tell he took a lot of pride in what he does and was very knowledgeable. Highly recommended if you want a taste of Napa and Sonoma!

This was a fabulous tour, in part because of our wonderful, Irish, tour guide! Our guide had a voice that was easy to listen to - it wasn't intrusive like some guides are his tone was easy to listen to and, more importantly, he was interesting! We loved the Napa valley and the first two wineries were wonderful - the staff at each provided a lot of interesting information and the wines were fantastic. We weren't particularly thrilled with the last winery -probably because it was a large organisation and we felt that we could have tasted the wines anywhere else easily. Having said that, the gardens were fantastic and the staff were both professional and friendly. This is a wonderful tour - it is extremely good value for money and the wineries are wonderful but, perhaps as important, the scenery was fantastic - we saw much of the countryside, the stop at each winery was sufficient and the lunch time stop was great too! As previously mentioned, our Irish guide I cannot remember his name but the company will know who I mean, was truly worth his weight in gold. Without hesitation, I would recommend this tour and would, if/when I visit the region again, go again!

I and my husband both enjoyed this tour. Our driver Antonio was super nice and informative. Our favorite winery was Nicholson Ranch. We love wine we tried there and feel sad that we bought only 1 bottle, as it was the first winery we visited. I would deffinetly recommend this tour!

Our bus driver/tour guide was great. He shared lots of historical information on San Francisco and both Napa and Sonoma. The wineries were decent. We visited 3 and I preferred the first 2 over the last, but they were enjoyable.
