  • The duration of transfers are approximate, the exact duration will depend on the time of day and traffic conditions
  • Each traveler is allowed a maximum of 1 suitcase and 1 small carry-on bag. Oversized or excessive luggage (e.g. surfboards, golf clubs or bikes) may have certain restrictions, please inquire with the operator prior to travel to confirm if your excess luggage is acceptable
  • One hour waiting time on international arrivals, after that, there is a charge for waiting time. We do accept major credit cards, and do not insist on cash payments. Receipts are provided upon requested
  • Child seats are required for children 8 and under by law and and not provided by the local supplier
  • When selecting a vehicle size, please consider the storage capacity for luggage based on number of passengers. For larger groups with larger items, multiple vehicles may be more appropriate
  • Price is per person, based on three passengers per sedan or five per SUV

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

We called repeatedly to be picked up. Waited 45 minutes. They connected me to the New York dispatch. When I finally got the correct dispatch in San Francisco, he put me on hold and then hung up. Finally had to end up getting a taxi. Terrible experience!

Stranded at the SF Airport

We prepaid this pickup. Our flight landed (5:30). Got text at 5:31 from driver. He said let me know when you get your bags. I tried to call and texted him at (6:10). I got to ground transportation and he was not there. I call their dispatch and they told me he waited over an hour and was released at 6. They would not send anyone else! They were rude and hung up on me. We had to get a cab to my hotel.

I called the day before we arrived and spoke with Danny to confirm the pickup at 1 pm and he said he would be there but he wasn’t. I called him numerous times when we were outside and at 1st he didn’t remember talking to us. We were 5 people with lots of luggage. We were supposed to be picked up in a sprinter and instead over a half hour later 2 suv crossovers and we barely fit. I spent 200 and the suv that I was in was dirty and old and not worth 200. I could have rented 2 Ubers or taxis and saved money. Really upset

What a disappointment, arrived at San Francisco Airport , contacted Carmel Private Transfers customer Service . stating we had arrived and picked up our luggage! , contacted Carmel Private Transfers they said they could not get in touch with the driver (Silence on the Phone), they then said we will have to make our own way and contact Viator for a refund. Absolutely Flabbergasted with the response from the customer service rep, i will definitely not recommend this service to anyone. I would like a full refund and compensation for the poor service. This was ok but nothing more than that. Difficult to get through to the help desk to let them know we had our luggage and we’re ready to be picked up. Driver seemed annoyed we had been slow getting through immigration. Not our fault there was a big flight ahead of us in the queue! He also seemed to ask for more money when he dropped us which when my husband pushed back dropped to $6 for the airport fee! Felt expensive for the cost

We got to the airport (SFO) and called one of the numbers listed in our voucher. It was advertising for DirecTV. The other was Viator but not associated with Carmel. The third call got someone who referred me to the dispatch office who eventually got a driver to call. He arrived in 15 minutes and was from a different company, but he efficiently got us to our hotel. The total time from our first call to arrival of a driver was 45 minutes. We have used viator in the past and had good, timely service. What went wrong?

Hello, I travel from Hamburg, Germany to San Fransisco with my wife and 10month old daughter. After I waiting for check in I book the transfer (which never happened). After few hours I was at the desk and they told me the flight was canceled on tomorrow directly I try to get untouched with the company but nothing happened! Since today nobody call me or write me back! But my money is directly charged by PayPal. I standing there after a 14 hour flight with my 10month old daughter and nobody waiting for us! After searching 1hour I realize that nobody are waiting there with a sign with my name on it. I really really pissed of these guys since today nobody get intouch with me. We take a taxi which was 20 dollars cheaper! Watch out for these complicated company.

We were supposed to be picked up by Regent for a hotel transfer and found out at last minute they didn’t have us scheduled so I contacted aviator and booked this. The driver contacted us at the luggage pick up and by the time we were outside he was there very shortly with no walking to a garage. It all went very smoothly
