What You Can Expect

San Francisco Bridge to Bridge Cruise

San Francisco Bridge to Bridge Cruise

The symbol of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge is best seen from the water, where you can stare up in wonder at the red spires that connect the city to Sausalito and Marin County. This bridge-to-bridge boat tour departing from Fisherman’s Wharf provides unbeatable views of this architectural icon as you cruise underneath it and its east-side counterpart, the Bay Bridge.

After boarding the boat, perhaps buy a snack or a drink from the full bar (own expense; you are also free to bring food on board). Then enjoy the scenery as your captain takes you across San Francisco Bay, passing by Alcatraz Island. Admire landmarks like Coit Tower, the Ferry Building, the Transamerica Pyramid and the Palace of Fine Arts, and feel the ocean breeze on your face as you reach the point where the wide Pacific meets the narrow entrance to the bay.

As you head the other way to the Bay Bridge, which connects San Francisco to Oakland and Berkeley, catch sight of Treasure Island and AT&T Park, where the San Francisco Giants play. During the cruise, listen to recorded commentary about the construction of the bridges and San Francisco’s geology and famed architecture. Your tour ends when you return to the pier.

Note: Restrooms are available on board the boat, which provides both indoor and outdoor spaces for your comfort. This is an open ticket, valid for one-time use on any day this cruise operates within one year from your purchase date.

This was a great way to get out and see SF from the water. The cruise was smooth and enjoyable. The audio tour was informative. The trip was 2 hours long, which was just the right length.

This cruise was ideal for us and at 90 minutes or so, it was long enough for us to see everything we wanted to see but not so long as to become dull.

Harbour staff were very helpful embarking and dis-embarking. The audio guide was radio linked and the quality of the signal sometimes dropped, but overall content was good.

The boat is pretty basic, but had everything we needed, including rest rooms and a counter serving coffee and snacks at reasonable prices.

Overall, very worthwhile.
