I highly recommend this bike tour, as long as you are booked with the right tour guide. Our guide I think it was Robert, I was a little under the weather aka hungover the day we did our tour, but he was so accommodating and took the time to check in with me throughout the tour. He was very attentive and constantly made sure everyone was staying with the group and that no one was left behind or lost. He also gave good pointers on each persons bike and how to get the best ride. He was so knowledgeable and gave such extensive information at every point we stopped. He even offered to take photos for everyone.
By the time the tour had ended, I was fully recovered and I was so glad that I had booked this tour! I would probably do it again, if I'm ever back in the city and have the time!

I loved my Golden Gate Bridge bike tour! It was a real highlight of my trip. I got to see a lot of San Francisco in a short time while enjoying a amazing bike ride, lead by our brilliant and very knowledgeable tour guide Robert! This is a must for people visiting San Fran! Crossing the bridge on the bike is a great way to tick this off you must do list!
Our tour guide was excellent. It was an invigorating and great sightseeing opportunities. Definitely recommend this tour.
Excellent bike tour! Our guide Trevor shared great information and was a lot of fun. The tour ends in Sausalito and you can hang out and have lunch with spectacular views of San Francisco, ride back over the bridge or take the ferry. We kept our bikes for the rest of the day and rode around the city. Highly recommend!
Went on this tour my first full day in the city. It was a great way to see much of the tourist area and learn about other neighborhoods and areas to explore through the week. Robert made plenty of stops and was very attentive to the needs of the group and very knowledgeable of the areas we biked through. The price of the tour was very reasonable and worth it. Good exercise too. The bridge was foggy and cold in sections, but that is the city for you. Cold one minute and hot the next. Make sure you carry a jacket even when it is 85F and sunny when you leave the hotel. The ferry back was nice. I opted to return the bike straight away. Then walked along north beach all the way to market and then back to union square area where I was staying. I was on an early tour and still had most of the afternoon free ... went to hippieville Haight Ashbury and bought some weed.
Jim our tour guide was wonderful! Very knowledable throughout the bike ride, saw wonderful sites, a lot of amazing pictures were taken! A few large hills to bike up, and the line to catch the ferry back in Sausalito was very long! But overall Jim was great and we definitely recommend this bike tour!
One of the best experiences on our trip to San Francisco!
My older teens loved the biking trip across the Golden Gate bridge which included tours past the Ghirardelli chocolate factory, homes in posh SF, and the Arts Palace.
We had a great lunch in Sausalito after the tour. And lots of fun on the ferry trip back into SF.
This was a great way to experience San Francisco!
The tour was incredible! My husband and I did this tour on our honeymoon on July 1st. Our tour guide was awesome. He was informative and also took pictures for us and the other people on the tour. Riding across the Golden Gate Bridge will be a memory we will keep forever!
Fantastic four at fantastic value. Steven was a great guide. Can and #39;t believe we actually ride across the golden gate bridge. Such a great journey. Great workout for the athletic family. Three challenging hills that you can walk your bike up if needed but I recommnd powering through.
Guide was very helpful and accomodating. Fun and beautiful views.

Wow! This tour was amazing!! It was such an easy and breathtaking tour with an amazing and friendly guide who knew so much about all the attractions of the City. I loved ending in Sausalito and hearing all the fascinating stories along the way. Such a perfect day.
The trip only lasted 2.25 hours instead of the 3 hours, but it was still a great trip.
Great and fun experience. The views were amazing and it was so worth it!
Great way to see the Golden Gate Bridge upfront and an absulutely stunning view of San Francisco. Dinner in Sausalito was great as well. Be aware iif you are taking the ferry that at the end of the day the lines are long and will need to wait at least a half hour to board. Don and #39;t miss this op!
Fantastic experience. A couple of hills but overall a relaxed ride. Tour guide Jimmy was awesome had a true love for San Fran which was evident throughout the tour. Don't forget sun screen and bridge pedestrian traffic is high so it allows for a casual experience.
Really enjoyed our bike tour, lucky for us no-one else booked the same time, so we had a private tour, really enjoyed the lovely scenery along the way!
Great tour, thanks Jim our guide! Wonderful way to see Golden Gate Bridge
A challenged bike rider, I did walk the bike up the 2 hills the group waited I wasn and #39;t the only one to walk. Well worth it. Biked to Sausalito and road the Ferry back! As a couple we really enjoyed the day!
Great, fun, active way to see SF and experienced the Golden Gate Bridge!
The tour company was incredibly great. From cool cycles to an awesome guide, everything was perfect. But dealing with Viator, however, has been more than disappointing. Why can't you guys declare all the exclusions while booking the tour. For example, there were additional charges for:
a Bike insurance
b Ferry ticket for return journey
c Even something as small as rental for helmets
In short, your partners are great. But you guys, well, not very sure!
A great way to see and explore San Francisco. Robert who took us round was so knowledgeable and helpful- even with taking photos of us during the trip. Recommend coming back on the ferry.
Well worth having a guide to take you over the Golden Gate Bridge. He took you to all the places to get the best views. The trip was a three hour ride but it was set to every bodies pace most of it was on cycle paths. There were two hills but you could walk your bike up if you wished. The ride down the hill at the end into Sausalito was brilliant. A very enjoyable day with a ferry ride back with your bike at the end.
Out of my whole experience in San Francisco this was by far the best one! Jim our lovely guide was a cool guy who showed his true professionality when we 'lost' two people in our group of 7. He went out of his way to bike back, finding out later they had missed the coffee stop and were already waiting further along the road.
As I am a tour guide myself in Valencia, Spain Funtours Valencia I could only imagine how inconvenient this was for the rest of the group but he kept his smile and didn't make any of us feel uncomfortable about it. He was very informative and not at all telling us what we could have found out by reading a guide book.
The ride was just awesome because we had a beautiful sunny day, clear skies and great views from the Golden Gate. The ride down to Sausalito was awesome! A little steeper and therefor great to speed a little if you are experienced on a bike. You could go by your own pace anyways and the two small parts of climbing a hill were minor to me and your gears were sufficient for a steeper climb.
All in all I hoped for Jim to be our guide after all the great comments here and I was lucky to have him. The whole experience from A - Z was just perfect and even taking the ferry back was an extra to the tour. Though not included in the price the whole thing was worth every penny!
