I've been to San Francisco three times and I always take the Hop On Hop Off bus because there is always something new to learn. Each tour guide was fun and educational and knew how to take the best pictures. This is a must do!
Loved it! Simply the best way to see San Francisco and surrounds!
Easy to use and u can go almost the famous area in San Fransisco. Worth to buy
The Gray Line buses are fabulous. They go to all the places that are interesting to tourists such as Fisherman's Wharf, the Haight Ashbury area and Chinatown, little Italy and the Golden Gate Park. Their guides are extremely informative and love their jobs. They are a great way to cover a big area in a couple of hours. And of course you can get out wherever you like and there will be another bus coming by within half an hour.
Highly recommended, specially for those who cannot walk long distances.
It is a very convenient way to catch all the salient sights in SF in a day or two! The option to spend more time in one place and the ease of catching the next bus within half-hour was priceless.
The best option when you have a few days and want to see everything.
All guides were entertaining, very knowledgeable and helpful. Using hop on hop off enabled us to explore the city with ease.
Great way to get around to at least see highlights of the city. We were excited to go across the Golden Gate Bridge!
We actually went around the loop twice--seeing things we didn't think we had time for on the second loop
ALL drivers were interesting, personable and made the tour fun
Definitely a good way to see a city for the first time
Only wish the tour went to 7 or 8 pm
Good tour. Stops in all the neighborhoods you might want to see.
Good information provided on the bus by knowledgeable guides. We also did the night tour. It covered different areas and was great but cold!. Dress warmly!
Does what it says on the tin, gets you around to then choose what you want to get off and see, be warned if you take the night tour get your sheepskin out, its bloody freezing on top of that bus DO NOT FORGET THIS !!!! You cannot change seat to go downstairs mid tour, it will be full, and queuing to get on the buses is like cattle herding, to be honest I would probably give the night tour a mis, the day tour bus is worth it but would also take the smaller Love Tour Bus where you will find a less scripted understandable commentary, the tour guide on the busses we went on were trying to give you so much info with digressions then having to speak so fast you didn't have a clue what they were talking about, a point I brought up with one of them, you are better off choosing the pre recorded option rather than listening to ultra fast ramblings
This package is very good and the guide are very knowledgeable specially Keith, this guy is an asset to this company. I hope they will change the start time during summer for the night tour, we started at 630pm and went to Golden Gate but sun still up and we did not see the beauty of the bridge at night time. But overall this trip is very good.
Great first look at city. Took the whole loop, marked and then went back to points of interest for more time. First tour guide was fantastic: gave info at nearly every intersection!.. Second guide seemed to be new: minimal info and continually looked at phone as if looking for that info. Third guide thought he could sing: too much about him.
Excellent way to see the main city attractions. We were a party of 10 of all ages and we all throughly enjoyed the tour. Easy to locate the main office, we stayed on the bus for an entire loop and it worked perfectly for our group.
Great tour, we stayed on the bus for an entire loop and it was perfect for us. Easy way to see the main attractions and work out what you would like to see more closely. We teamed this with an Alcatraz tour and it was a full, wonderful day!
Only slight challenge is the need to create two bookings if you have more than 8 people in your group, but we got it to work!
The best way to get around town! We never waited more than a few minutes for a bus to arrive, learned some things from the guides. Will do it again next time I'm in San Francisco.
Definitely the best way to get around the city. I wish it went later than 5, but it's understandable. The tour is informative and convenient to get on and off at all the popular stops. The tour guides are great and fun!

We took the 48 hour plus Sausilito tour. Great value for money - we saw all the highlights. Id recommend you do a full 2 1/2 hr tour to start with - don't get off. Then have lunch at Fishermans wharf. then get back on and hop on and off at other tourist stops. We hoped off at the painted ladies and also at Haight/Ashbury. Excellent value if you only have a short in SanFran but want to see the highlights. The bus driver will make a difference to the quality - our first driver was very knowledgeable and provided many interesting side pieces of data, information and trivia. Another driver was a younger guy and he was a bit more casual and did not say as much. Even so a great tour.
We had a great time spent all day getting off at places off interest and back on when we were ready. Tour guides very informative, bus drivers good fun. Only down side was that we didn't realise tours stop at 5.30 p.m.
