Make your own way to the Lands End Lookout Visitor Center to meet your guide for your walking tour.
Start by exploring the historic ruins of the Sutro Baths, and taking in views of the grand archway of Seal Rocks and Point Lobos. Then walk up to Sutro Heights Park and look across the long spread of Ocean Beach and views that stretch for 20 miles (32 km) on a clear day.
Continuing along rugged, cliffside bluffs and look for the remains of several shipwrecks just offshore. You might hear sea lions barking, spot dolphins, and with luck, catch sight of a gray whale migrating along the California coast. If you enjoy birdwatching, bring your binoculars to look for more than 250 species of birds along the way, including Anna's hummingbird and Brandt's cormorant.
Have a picnic in Lincoln Park around the mid-point of the walk, stopping outside the elegant building of the Legion of Honor, part of the Fine Art Museums of San Francisco. Then return on foot to the Lands End Lookout Visitor Center to end your tour.
