What You Can Expect

Yosemite National Park and Giant Sequoias Trip

Giant Sequoias, California

One of the most-visited parks in the United States, Yosemite National Park is famed for its wild beauty and massive natural attractions. After morning pickup at your San Francisco hotel, cruise across the new San Francisco Bay Bridge and through historic Gold Rush towns as the urban bustle gives way to the rugged landscape of the Sierra Nevada.

When you arrive at the park, stretch your legs at Tuolumne Grove with an easy, 1-hour guided hike among some of the oldest and largest trees in the world (weather permitting). Crane your neck to see the top of the giant sequoia trees, including a tunneled-out tree large enough to drive a car through.

Continue on to Inspiration Point for an unbeatable view of Yosemite’s photogenic valley framed by the giant granite formations of Half Dome and El Capitan. Look for expert rock climbers trying to scale the world-class cliffs and, in springtime, watch the thundering cascade of Yosemite Falls.

Enjoy 1–1.5 hours of free time to explore the park on your own. Rent a bike and cruise along the flat paths of Yosemite Valley (not included), hike to a nearby waterfall or visit the Ansel Adams Gallery to see some of the most famous images of the park ever captured on film. Lunch options include a picnic on the Merced River or a casual meal at the Yosemite Lodge (own expense).
Reconnect with your guide at the appointed time, and relax on the scenic drive back to San Francisco.

Please note: The weather in Yosemite is highly variable and includes rain and snow in winter and high temperatures in summer. The itinerary may be adapted to make the most of Yosemite during different seasons and times of the year. The giant sequoias are best visited between May and October. During the rest of the year, snow and ice conditions may prevent access to roads and trails, and other activities may be substituted.

Brady was our tour guide and he was terrific. He was raised in the area and was very knowledgeable and helpful, He made the trip for all of us on the bus that day. The stops are timed to give you plenty of time to eat, take pictures and find restrooms. This tour company is very lucky to have such a nice young man working for them, Thanks for all the special attention you gave us all! I would highly recommend this day trip for everyone!

Although the trip to visit this stunning place was alittle long but every moment was worth it.
We had a knowledgeable tour guide and I'm glad that I learned about the history of this place while I was walking around. I've already recommended to visit Yosemite national park and sequoia trees to many people and colleagues.
Thank you.

Had a great time! Keep in mind this tour is an all day affair. I knew this going in but it didn't actually sink in until late in the tour. Yosemite is amazing and I got a bunch of great pictures. The guide was informative and kept us safe. I recommend this tour. Good bang for buck.

This tour is the perfect way to see the stunning Yosemite National Park. Our guide was friendly and picked us up from our centrally located San Francisco hotel at the time we were advised. Our tour bus was almost full but there was plenty room for all the passengers and baggage. When we got to the park we were very relieved to find out that coach tours get preference on the park’s roads, as there were large queues waiting to get to popular areas of the park. Our driver made sure to stop and show us all the viewing points we passed. We also stopped on Treasure Island just outside San Francisco which allowed us to see the city’s skyline and Alcatraz Island. All in all, this is a wonderful way to see Yosemite – especially if your time is limited in the San Francisco bay area.

I want to say thanks to our driver. My friend and I got lost in this huge Park and there was no phone signal we can't contact others. When we finally back to the bus stop and found that our driver was waiting for us I felt so grateful.

The guide Vlad was very nice, fair, and efficient in managing our stops, and giving us much of the insight about Sierra Nevada, Yosemite, their history, etc.
The day trip is a bit of a rush though, and staying in the park overnight is advisable.

This trip is a long day with lots of driving but it's worth it to spend the day in Yosemite. Anthony was our tour guide and he made the trip very enjoyable. His enthusiasm about Yosemite is contagious. He looked for the wildlife and found special places for us to stop for great photo opportunities.
