What You Can Expect

Yosemite National Park and Giant Sequoias Trip

Giant Sequoias, California

One of the most-visited parks in the United States, Yosemite National Park is famed for its wild beauty and massive natural attractions. After morning pickup at your San Francisco hotel, cruise across the new San Francisco Bay Bridge and through historic Gold Rush towns as the urban bustle gives way to the rugged landscape of the Sierra Nevada.

When you arrive at the park, stretch your legs at Tuolumne Grove with an easy, 1-hour guided hike among some of the oldest and largest trees in the world (weather permitting). Crane your neck to see the top of the giant sequoia trees, including a tunneled-out tree large enough to drive a car through.

Continue on to Inspiration Point for an unbeatable view of Yosemite’s photogenic valley framed by the giant granite formations of Half Dome and El Capitan. Look for expert rock climbers trying to scale the world-class cliffs and, in springtime, watch the thundering cascade of Yosemite Falls.

Enjoy 1–1.5 hours of free time to explore the park on your own. Rent a bike and cruise along the flat paths of Yosemite Valley (not included), hike to a nearby waterfall or visit the Ansel Adams Gallery to see some of the most famous images of the park ever captured on film. Lunch options include a picnic on the Merced River or a casual meal at the Yosemite Lodge (own expense).
Reconnect with your guide at the appointed time, and relax on the scenic drive back to San Francisco.

Please note: The weather in Yosemite is highly variable and includes rain and snow in winter and high temperatures in summer. The itinerary may be adapted to make the most of Yosemite during different seasons and times of the year. The giant sequoias are best visited between May and October. During the rest of the year, snow and ice conditions may prevent access to roads and trails, and other activities may be substituted.

Perfect trip for those in the San Fran area that are short on time but don't want to miss this amazing park! The hike is definitely challenging more given the limited time to get to the Sequoias, more like a forced march, but well worth it if you are in shape or don't have small children. The rest of the trip was fabulous, our tour guide Brook was well versed in the history of the area, had a great sense of humor, and really wanted us to have a good time. We saw all the great spots and had time to hang out by the river and eat a great picnic lunch. The bus needs new shocks, but otherwise was comfortable. The pit stops half way at the grocery store were perfectly timed for stretching your legs and using the facilities. A must do!

I never liked tours but this was a great one thanks to our amazing tour guide Gino. He did everything to satisfy the passengers. He tried to make extra time everywhere we stopped. We always had more than enough time for Hiking, freetime, sightseeing, photos. Gino has also super positive vibe and attitude that makes you enjoy more. If you are in san francisco for a day or two, dont spend time inside the city crowd, stress. Visit the world's one of the most famous and greatest nature park. Yosemite has too much to offer and you can experience all of them in one day. I totally recommend it.

Ross was our guide and he was great! They picked us up at our hotel around 6:30am and it didn't feel like a long ride at all because he was funny and informative the whole way. I would recommend to anyone because the views were worth the price.

OMG.......from start to finish this trip was amazing. Gino, our guide was really knowledgeable and friendly. The Giant Sequoas were incredible. But the views Gino got for us of El Capitain and Half Dome were breathtaking. The whole trip was worth every penny. Viator kept me updated with pick up and drop of times and places too. Can't wait for Alcatraz tomorrow!!!!

It was impressive and fun and interesting, all at the same time. Ross was one of the best tour guides I had the chance to meet and I work in a hotel with tours, so trust me when I say this guy knows what he's doing. And don't be afraid to go by your own, you'll make friends in the way :
