Our tour guide was absolutely marvelous-very knowledgeable and interesting. We got to taste many fruits, as well as drink coconut water from a coconut! After leaving the food market, we went to the Central Market and got to taste other interesting dishes. A great tour!
Great tour exploring the two local markets downtown. Our guide was very knowledgeable and loved her work. She purchased different samples for us at each of the markets: coffee, many tropical/local fruits, empanadas, sweet drinks, and more. She was open to questions and even went over the tour time since we wanted to see more things. Comfy walking shoes is a must and local currency if you want to purchase gifts. They are way cheaper in this market than at many businesses around town.
I can't stress how much I loved this tour. I wanted to escape the touristy traps and experience a somewhat authentic market/history tour. This company and the guy pictured in promo Miguel I believe was awesome. I was able to view the markets, try some fruits and get a slight history lesson. I loved it for my first trip and solo trip at that.
The tour was outstanding and the guide was exceptional in explaining and pointing out interesting foods, etc. Our guide was able to give full, thorough explanations to any questions asked. We loved the tour so much that we are considering taking it again.
Gladys our tour guide was excellent - She took us to local markets - we tried different fruits, coffee, empanada, and Tamales.
Then we tour the city - Post Office and street statues, etc. She was a delight. Got the other tourist an Uber car to her hotel.
She found me a cab which took credit card for a place I wanted to check out - The Jewish Community Museum - unfortunately closed and phone on website and directions landmark not stated my cab driver had a hard time finding until he asked a local person on the street.
I had the opportunity to see and enjoy San Jose with Vinicio. He was really a great tour guide. I learned a lot about Costa Ricas history. I could try delicious fruit and food. He answered all my questions. I also saw very interesting sight seeings! I highly recommend taking this tour with Vinicio
We really enjoyed this walking tour of San Jose. Vinicia was the best guide and knew so much about the markets, the history, and the foods. We walked through different markets and sampled fruits, empanadas, tamales, coffee, auga dulce, and gelato. The national theater was beautiful and we enjoyed the pedestrian plaza. Great way to start a visit to San Jose.
