The tour was outstanding and the guide was exceptional in explaining and pointing out interesting foods, etc. Our guide was able to give full, thorough explanations to any questions asked. We loved the tour so much that we are considering taking it again.
Gladys our tour guide was excellent - She took us to local markets - we tried different fruits, coffee, empanada, and Tamales.
Then we tour the city - Post Office and street statues, etc. She was a delight. Got the other tourist an Uber car to her hotel.
She found me a cab which took credit card for a place I wanted to check out - The Jewish Community Museum - unfortunately closed and phone on website and directions landmark not stated my cab driver had a hard time finding until he asked a local person on the street.
young lady was awesome. she took good care of us. thank you.
The walking tour was really nice! The food sampling was great!
I had the opportunity to see and enjoy San Jose with Vinicio. He was really a great tour guide. I learned a lot about Costa Ricas history. I could try delicious fruit and food. He answered all my questions. I also saw very interesting sight seeings! I highly recommend taking this tour with Vinicio
We really enjoyed this walking tour of San Jose. Vinicia was the best guide and knew so much about the markets, the history, and the foods. We walked through different markets and sampled fruits, empanadas, tamales, coffee, auga dulce, and gelato. The national theater was beautiful and we enjoyed the pedestrian plaza. Great way to start a visit to San Jose.
THIS was the BEST TOUR!! My guide, Vinicia knew all the ins and outs of both markets - I learned more in this tour than in the other 4 visits I have made to San Jose!! I got to try all kinds of food, fruits, etc that I normally would not know what or how to eat. Plus my guide Vinicia was so knowledgeable about everything in San Jose. I highly rec this and Vinicia!!!
Carolina was our tour guide and she was awesome! We toured the Central Market, visited the fruit market, the national theater and learned a lot of information on the history of the city. This was our first trip to Costa Rica and I'd highly recommend making this one of your first tours.
A very good tour. Felipe and Sebastian took us through two of the main food markets in San Jose and included in the price are many tastings of the products on sale, from bananas to home made ice cream. The guides could not have been more informative. A fascinating insight in to local customs and history. Also included are two of the main churches in San Jose. A word of caution - if you are coming from an out of town hotel allow plenty of time to get to the meeting point. The San Jose traffic is horrific. If you are in a city centre hotel then- no problem.
Very good tour. Eric was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about San Jose. We didn and #39;t focus on the touristy side of the city but more of the and #34;secret and #34; history of San Jose. Highly recommend this tour. We will definitely book another tour on our next trip.
Great time I should have gone on this tour as soon as I hit the ground, guide was awesome and San Jose was great.
Great tour guide made it a worthwhile day seeing and hearing all about San Jose.

My buddy and I had a marvelous time with Eric and Carlos. It was like being with friends. I have never learned so much on a walking tour. These guys really knew there stuff. You could feel there passion for their country. Any and every question i asked them was replied with a heart felt answer. I do not know how they do it being on the move every day walking the streets of San Jose with tourist. Eric and Carlos shared their personal life experiences of growing up and living in Costa Rica. They shared stories of the history of the country and stories behind the architecture we viewed. So much to see and experience in San Jose. I would do this tour again just to hang out with my new pals Eric and Carlos. Thank you for making us feel like we were spending time with old friends.
I was fortunate to have Brenda all to myself on this tour. She is a lovely girl and was very happy to share her knowledge about the tour topics and also life in Costa Rica in general. It was more like walking around with an old friend and she fielded my dozens of questions with cheerful enthusiasm. We spent half the time in the market and half outside so if you are looking for a more all encompassing orientation tour, I would suggest a different tour. However it was a nice way to spend the morning, tasting the different fruits and foods I was unfamiliar with. I loved the place she took me for chorreador made coffee and plantains with cheese and spice so much that I had to go back on my last day!

good overall tour and guide...good intro to some of San Jose highoights
I was hoping to taste more food , not just fruits. It was nice, but not worth doing again
Young lady led our tour. Food part was fantastic. She did a great job showing us the 3 markets and arranging samples of unknown fruits and a great cup of coffee. Her knowledge of statues, monuments and history was a work in progress. She needs to continue to learn and read all the guidebooks she can get her hands on, Very congenial and pleasant person to spend time with.
Tour guide didnt talk much. Mainly just led us around and down a few streets. Although tour said 3 hours and that it ended with fruit tasting and coffee he just took us back to the entrance to the Central Market , handed us a couple pieces of fruit around 10:50 and dumped us.
