What You Can Expect

Deserted Island Catamaran Day Sail from Fajardo

Enjoy a delicious lunch buffet!

You may be just a few miles from civilization, but this 5.5-hour catamaran cruise to Icacos Cay feels like your very own tropical adventure. Explore the untouched beaches of this nature preserve while you spend the day swimming and snorkeling, before enjoying a buffet lunch and cocktails.

Start your day with an optional pickup from hotels in San Juan, or make your own way to the marina in Fajardo for a 10am departure. As your catamaran pulls up anchor and heads into the cerulean seas, check out great views of the coastline’s beaches, plus scenic vistas of nearby El Yunque National Forest. Don’t forget to enjoy a piña colada, rum punch, soda or juice from the bar on the way.

After about an hour’s worth of cruising, your catamaran arrives at Icacos Cay, part of a chain of 10 small islands that comprise La Cordillera Keys Nature Reserve. If weather conditions require, your captain may navigate instead to the equally stunning island of Palominitos. Then hop in the water for some aquatic activities, including snorkeling on the nearby reef, swimming or beach combing on the shore of this placid paradise.

When you start to get hungry around midday, head back to the boat for a buffet spread. Build a sandwich from the included array of fresh baked bread (pan de agua), sliced meats including turkey, ham, pastrami and salami, sliced cheeses, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. Make sure to also grab some sides, including gourmet pasta salad, chicken salad, coleslaw, bean dip, chips, cookies and fresh fruit.

Following lunch, your catamaran heads to another reef for more snorkeling or sunbathing. While underwater, keep your eyes peeled for reef creatures including colorful fish and the occasional octopus or manta ray. Or stay dry on the deck, where you can gaze at the sea life through glass windows or shoot down the boat’s built-in waterslide.

Your relaxing sailing day finishes with a return cruise back to harbor, where you can find your optional hotel transportation back to San Juan.

I love every moment of this trip. The crews were wonderful and had fun times with them. very accomodating and helpful. there were about 6 more couples with us and i got to mingle with them, they took us to Icacos for some snorkeling and the lunch buffet was filling and not to mention the drinks. i had about 3 pina coladas and i never drank that much. after lunch they took us to deep side of Icacos, and there we snorkeled and the fish were all around us. highly recommended to do this catamaran/snorkeling trip. you will truly enjoy...we did.

This was definitely the highlight of our trip! The staff is amazing, very courteous, and utilize humor when explaining things. The lunch that is provided is far better than one would expect, it was great and so were the drinks! On this tour, we sailed both the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It was my first time ever snorkeling and OMGosh....what a blast! Please take lots of sunscreen - this was the first time in my life I ever burned lol! I would 100 recommend this tour! - Thank you

From booking to the van to the trip and back to Old San Juan, nothing could have been simpler or more enjoyable. The driver was great and even pointed out a place to get coffee while we waited for another couple since we were picked up before our hotel served breakfast. We had a senior class aboard who had a blast, but did so without putting a damper on anyone else's time. Levi and the rest of the crew were gracious hosts, both helpful and instructive. The food was good, the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages were flowing, and the music made it feel like a celebration. We fell in love with Puerto Rico that day, and this trip was the main reason.

I really enjoyed myself! Worth every penny. Crew was very professional, fun, knowledgeable and helpful. My boyfriend got seasick and they gave plenty of pointers and remedies to help him feel better. 1 thing I probably would have liked to see was a little more and #34;Puerto rico and #34; for the food.

A very fun and relaxing day! All you need is a hat, towel, sunglasses, and non-spray sunscreen. You most likely will get wet if you are at the front of the catamaran. At least we did on a day where the waters were choppy. We even saw dolphins on the stop at the beach.
