Traveler Tips

Bring good hiking shoes that you don't mind getting wet, what's most important is that you have good footing underneath you!
I do NOT recommend you hike with water shoes because you will be climbing rocks and will slip.
Pay attention to the “ what to expect” section of tour.

WEPAAAA from Florida! Request Frankie and Elias!
Masielle_A, Sep 2022
This is the second time we’ve opted to do this tour specifically with Bespoke. Would 1000% recommend, the company’s tour guides being the primary reason. Throughout our excursion we ran into a few different tour groups enjoying similar attractions (rock slide, cliff jump, rope swing, etc.) which were all an absolute BLAST, however, what differentiated our experience with Bespoke was having guides like Frankie and Elias - We were truly so impressed with how educational the tour turned out to be (which was 100% a result of Frankie’s undeniable passion for Puerto Rico’s flora, fauna, and history). The crew referred to everyone as “familia” and treated us as such - getting to know the groups’ names, where everyone was from, and you really couldn’t buy their sense of humor and care. We had a blast and hope people choose bespoke in the future with zero doubt!
Muddy fun in the rainforest
Kerstin_K, Aug 2022
Frankie, Anthony and Tarzan were great!!! Frankie the Tourguide, is funny, knowledgeable and is always putting safety first. It's was so much fun exploring the rainforest with them!!
Great Hike with Adriana
Alanya_H, Aug 2022
Adriana was an amazing tour guide - very animated and knowledgeable. We had a great group of fellow hikers. The excursion was a bit nerve-racking at times (we went down two natural watersides, crawled under a large Boulder, and had the option to cliff jump) but definitely worth it. Be prepared to get muddy and wet but it was a very memorable/fun part of my trip to Puerto Rico.

Great Adventure
DRon_B, Aug 2022
Our tour guides and the atmosphere was awesome. I hate that I can’t remember their names (Adriana is one and the two gentlemen with her, I can not remember their names). Overall, awesome experience. Would do it again and with the same crew.
Great family trip
Robert_N, Aug 2022
Wonderful hike but it isn’t easy. You’re actually on a trail through the jungle and accompanying mud. You are rewarded with amazing waterfalls, natural water slides, and cliff jumping. Wear good water shoes or tennis shoes because the mud will suck them off your feet. The guides were friendly and made sure everyone had a great and safe time. Another plus is there aren’t any mosquitoes.
Hector_A, Aug 2022
Felix, Elias and Mitchel our tour guides made it the best time. CHAN CHAN CHAN 🤣 as Felix would scream every time. These guys were amazing! I can’t swim to save my life but Mitchel, was there every time to save me🤣 they made us feel safe and we’re very outgoing. I would suggest asking for these guys personally as your tour guides if you choose to do this. 💯 recommended from a non swimmer.
Super Fun Day!
Denise_P, Aug 2022
Frankie was a great guide. Provided really good information and his attitude was infectious. Always focused on guest fun and safety. We got super muddy on the hike and then played in the water. The hike up was a challenge but waterfalls down were a blast.
Adriana was a great guide!

Adriana was a great guide! I loved how enthusiastic she was when talking about the rainforest and you could tell she really loves her job! Two thumbs up all the way!
Enjoy Nature with Some Adventure!
Miguel_M, Jun 2022
Franchesca and George were the perfect guides for this tour! They were both very engaging and fun to be around. We had a blast and are beyond happy. If you want to capture great memories of Puerto Rico's beauty and nature with some awesome moments of adventure, then this is your tour! 🇵🇷
Awesome Experience
Tashy_M, Jun 2022
Definitely was a vibe ! Not too much of a walk ! Wish we could’ve seen more waterfalls . But overall not so bad . At first water is cold but how hot it was .. definitely got use to it !
Just ok
Rebecca_K, Jun 2022
20+ people in life jackets and helmets surrounded by other groups of 20+ people not wearing this gear surrounded by 20+ locals. The forest is beautiful and the swimming hole they take you to is beautiful however you just stand in line to jump off a cliff one time and swing on a rope or go down the water slide. It would be incredible if this were a secret spot only the locals know. Staff was really nice. ***you have to climb slippery wet rocks… this is not easy***
Exciting time in the rainforest!
Chad_M, Jun 2022
Cliff jumping and riding the waterfall like a water slide! Felix was the most amazing guide. His positive energy is contagious. Highly recommend!
El Yunque Off the Beaten Path Hiking Tour
keith_c, May 2022
The 3 guides were all awesome. They made this a family trip with a bus full of travelers. The hike was challenging. Ut worth the effort. The water slide, rope jump and cliff leap were all so much less intimidating because of the guides solid directions and assistance. Would definitely recommend this to a friend.
Response from Host, May 2022

A must do
Paul_V, May 2022
Felix and the crew where such a blast! They had us laughing a ton. They did the perfect balance of entertainment, education, but also was able to reel it in and really hype on safety. We went in with minimal expectations and we came out recommending it to everyone at the wedding we went to the following day!

We had a huge group of 49(!) people for a wedding party and the guides accommodated us wonderfully and made sure each and every one got through safely and with great memories. I was very impressed
Breath taking
Jose_R, Apr 2022
The absolute beauty of the rainforest, and sharing this experience with my family on this once in a lifetime trip will be memories that last a lifetime. The diversity of this forest and the tour guides passion and knowledge about this one of a kind forest was awesome. Definitely a very highly recommended tour!

Adventure of a lifetime
Natasha_C, Apr 2022
This was a thorough excellent tour of El Yunque. Let me forewarn you that this tour is not for those weak in spirit. It requires physical stamina and will power. It is fun but not easy- particularly if you’re not used to hiking through slippery rocks, excessive mud, and wading through rivers. However the communion that you will have with nature is beyond rewarding. George and Jaime were amazing tour guides. I am in my mid 40s in average shape and was accompanied by my 19 and 7 year old. Both guides were very attentive and made sure that we all made it through safely and had fun. I highly recommend this tour if you are up for adventure. Strongly recommend hiking boots and wearing clothes that you don’t mind getting really dirty. You must be willing to be one with the mud!
A must do. So much fun
