What To Expect

Discover the natural beauty of El Yunque National Park, including its waterfalls, on this full-day tour from San Juan. Enjoy a more intimate experience with a smaller group of just 25 travelers and the convenience of having your transfers, entrance fees, life jacket, helmet, and bottled water included.

Get picked up from hotels in select areas of San Juan to start the day and travel by air-conditioned vehicle to Ceiba. Follow your certified guide on a 30-minute hike, which includes a brief river trek, to a waterfall and natural pools, where you can swim, swing from a rope, and cliff jump. The hike then continues to a higher point with natural waterslides. Along the way, learn about the rainforest from your guide.

Afterwards, stop at a local restaurant for a late lunch (own expense) before returning to San Juan to be dropped off at your accommodations.

Please read carefully for all safety requirements and limitations for this tour.
Please dress appropriately: Wear hiking shoes (tennis with a good grip also works). Can also bring water shoes for when you go into the river. Please note: shoes will get wet and very muddy
Participants must be physically capable of walking thru steep, rocky, muddy and uneven surfaces without assistance.
Must have a good breakfast before departing on this tour.
Wear bathing suit underneath, bring a towel and change of clothes.
Children must be 7 years to participate.
Pregnant women, participants with heart complaints, back or knee problems, recent injuries or surgeries, mobility limitations or other serious medical conditions cannot participate on this tour.
Tour operates based weather and river conditions. In the event of poor weather you will be offered an alternate tour, option to reschedule or refund.

Failure to provide hotel/lodging or cruise information upon booking may result in bus not being able to pick you at your location or close to it. No refunds will be issued if you miss your pick up.
Due to safety reasons participants must be able to understand English or Spanish. Legally blind or deaf persons are not able to participate due to the same. An alternative for persons with certain limitations is to book a Private Rainforest tour. Please contact us for more information.
Use of lifejacket and helmet is mandatory. $100 fee will apply for each piece of equipment if not returned.
Once you begin the tour, you must finish it all the way up to the second stop and return back with the group.
Please travel light and only bring the necessary to the tour. Leave behind electronic devices, any important documentation like passport, large sums of cash or credit cards. Cell phones require waterproof case.
On Saturdays the hike is longer and more challenging since we depart from a different point.
Estimate duration of 8 hrs includes: 3.5-4 hrs at the forest, 1.5 hr drive each way plus lunch time.
Published starting time is only an estimate. Exact pick up time will be provided the DAY PRIOR to your tour.
Bespoke LM Reserves the Right of Admission - If a person appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, not following instructions, causing disruptions or not dressed appropriately (for certain tours) the Guide has the right to Cancel their reservation at any moment, and No Refunds will be issued due to this.
Persons with the previously listed health restrictions cannot participate on the tour. No refunds will be authorized if a person neglects to read complete description and does not meet the safety requirements and limitations on the day of the tour.

Jason was our guide, and though I forgot the driver’s name, I highly recommend both of them. We had a comfortable 25-seater van, and before the hike, Jason explained everything we needed to know. During the hike, he shared insights about the rainforest plants and trees, while the driver took photos for us. I brought my two kids (7 and 11), and there were 4 kids in total in the group. Both Jason and the driver took great care of everyone.

Great time in the rainforest!

Jorge came and picked us up in front of our hotel at the designated time we were told. He was right on time! We picked up the rest of the "family" and also another guide named Luis. Once we got to the rainforest we had a safety briefing and they gave us tips on how to navigate. I definitely would say it was a strenuous hike. You will get muddy and dirty so make sure you pack grippy shoes that you don't mind getting very dirty and wet. We were advised not to bring anything with us and to leave on the busy (which we did) Jorge and Luis took plenty of pictures and videos of everyone. The rainforest was amazing and Jorge and Luis gave us a few tidbits about the history. They were both very concerned for everyone's safety and made sure we were all ok and assisted us if we needed help. The waterfall slide was awesome as was the rope swing and cliff jump. We got to spend quite a bit of time by the waterfalls and then trekked back to the bus. Once we got cleaned up, we were taken to a restaurant and had a nice meal and some drinks. The Jorge and Luis got us safely back to our hotel. Jorge sent the pictures and videos which we really appreciated. It was a great day overall and would definitely recommend this company and Jorge & Luis as guides!

You will get muddy so be prepared 😂! No need for bug repellent or sunscreen ☺️ The hike with the slippery mud can be a little tricky but the guides are always there to lend a hand 😁 Leave everything in the transportation van because they will get muddy and/or wet 🤣 Be prepared for a fun and memorable experience! George and Luis from Bespoke were amazing guides ❤️❤️

This was a great experience for my family and I. Adriana and Luis were great! We all jumped off the cliffs and slid down the water slide with no problems. Adriana made sure life jackets and helmets were on safely for this event. They both were very energetic and knowledgeable. Claiming rocks and walking through mud was very challenging but fun. This trip is a must when visiting Puerto Rico and it’s great for families.

We were absolutely blown away by the quality of our tour and tour guide Adrianna. She led us through scenery and terrain that felt like it was something out of a dream. She also did this while helping us be informed of the islands history and the cultural value that the rainforest brings to everyone who it influences. Jorge and Luis were great tour guides and drivers! We had a great time hiking, cliff jumping, and using the rope swing. We were unable to do the water slide due to the current but we appreciated both of them looking out for our safety. 5 stars for the tour, the only bummer of the trip was we had specifically selected this tour because transportation was included. We chose a location from the list but when it came time for Shanie to coordinate our pickup time and location via text, they chose a location that was a 15min walk away and wouldn’t choose anything closer. Not afraid of a walk, but don’t advertise pickup locations you don’t actually pickup from.

My wife and I had such a great time today during this rainforest experience. It was so much fun! Our tour guide, Hector, was the best. He was real knowledgeable about the ecosystem in the forest and we learned a lot about the plants that we saw. He was sure to look out for the whole groups needs, and he helped us navigate the trails, especially through the difficult terrain. We especially enjoyed the natural waterslide, cliff diving and rope jungle swing. Would totally do this again next time we return to Puerto Rico.

We had a great time on this excursion! George was a great tour guide! After a small hike into the rainforest, we climbed up rocks to slide down a natural water slide and cliff jumped / swung a rope into a pool of water! Then we got lunch by Liquillo Beach. Fair warning, this excursion is more about scrambling among rocks and branches than a true hike. It’s also very touristy and family friendly, so if that’s not what you’re looking for look elsewhere.
