Juan Carlos was very good and the tour was fun and informative. I enjoyed walking around Old San Juan and learning about its expansion over the centuries. I especially enjoyed all of the vantage points that we covered. The pace was perfect and I never felt we were being rushed. I also appreciated the list of restaurant recommendations he provided. I think the tour would have been fantastic if there were more stories about the key people or events that lead to the expansion. Our tour focused mostly on the dates of the expansion and the changes in architecture during those times.

A well-rounded tour but hard to follow

We enjoyed getting to cover a good distance and seeing many sights that we may not have seen on our own. However, the tour guide (while very kind) jumped around a lot in history and it was difficult to follow. We were only able to pick up bits and pieces of information, and we would have preferred less dates and more specific information that went more chronologically. Although some of the people on the tour held us up at the bathroom break, we went over by 24 minutes when we were told it would only go over by 10. It might make sense to cut a few locations from the tour to allow for the time to see everything even with delays.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and considerate (shade, water). We highly recommend booking before you go exploring old San Juan alone as they give restaurant recommendations at the end.

Our guide was incredible and shared his knowledge and passion for the history, architecture, events and people who shaped Puerto Rico and Old San Juan over 500+ years. It was by far the highlight of our family trip! To top it off w great cocktail and dinner recommendations in the old city pushed it past 'epic!'

The entire tour from start to finish. This was the perfect tour of old San Juan for my husband and the. The tour guide Juan Carlos was extremely knowledgeable and patient as we took photos all the way. I would recommend this tour of Old San Juan.

It was a very informative and interesting tour! So much history from this little beautiful island! The only thing that really messed up my experience was the rain. It rained a lot and it wasn’t really fun bc we couldn’t get to go close to a lot of places trying to avoid the rain. JC or Juan Carlos was out tour guide he was great. Very knowledgeable and did the best he could to accommodate us and give us as much info as he could given the weather conditions. I recommend on a nice day!

We did our tour early during our stay in Old San Juan, and J.C.‘s tour and recommendations made us appreciate everything we saw so much more throughout the week after learning the history of the city. The history of San Juan. My daughter and I like history. Some sights we saw was the oldest Catholic church in America. The outside of Ponce De Leon’s mansion. Different periods of buildings/ architecture, churches from the 1500s to the 1800’s. The guide had many interesting information. Also we learned about the Taino indians and the Spaniards up until America took over.
