Book it! Small Boat, Relaxing Experience

This was a great excursion! If ubering, I highly suggest using “Club Nautico de San Juan” as the destination. It took us right to the guards. If you’re looking to lay on a big boat or yacht, this is not for you. If you’re looking to sail the bay in a casual, relaxing environment on a small boat while learning a bit bout the history of Old San Juan or joking with the captain and other guests over a drink, then book it now!

Indeed, just read the description, and that is exactly what we do, and the type of sailboat is also there. If you are going to Club Nautico de San Juan, there's no entrance by the front of it, it's somewhere else, and it's also explained in the instructions. This is an AUTHENTIC SAILING experience. If you are looking just for a bay tour, you can come with us, but we will go sideways, no more than 6 per sailboat, with the sound of the breeze and the splash of the water by flat waters of the Historical bay of San Juan with a beer and a conversation, and doesn't even feel like commercial, so don't expect calling offices to explain anything, our job starts at the bay, SAILING with the wind power

We had a booking for 6/27 and today is 7/7. I have not heard back from the company yet, and I am waiting to hear back from Viator. Although all the reviews were excellent, a couple of them made me hesitant when they said they didn't have the correct address for the excursion. I read up on the address and made sure our Uber driver dropped us off exactly where it said on our reservation. We were there before 5 PM. The gate attendant pointed us in the general direction of the office, but they were closed. We weren't quite sure what to do, so at one point we walked with another family who said they had a sunset sail. However, they had much more detailed directions than what we had, and it turned out they were going with a different company. The nice men there pointed across the marina (literally across the bay water) and showed us the boat that we were SUPPOSED to be on. Which by this time, of course, was already leaving. I don't know how we would have even gotten to that side of the marina with the address that we gave our Uber driver. It makes no sense to me. I also don't understand why a tour operator can't text or call a guest who hasn't shown up to their already-paid tour. Obviously, we WANT to use your business, we've already paid you, but you can't just call to make sure there's nothing wrong? We're TOURISTS--we don't know the ins and outs of a different country. You're on a marina where texting works--I know that, because I tried texting you to let you know that we apparently had the wrong address. Other tours we took in PR texted information to us back and forth constantly. I just don't understand why a business would be okay with an entire family not showing up for their $280 tour. Anyway, I know that this isn't personal and I'm not expecting a full refund of any sort, but I just don't think it's right that this happened.

These is tourist activity and we mostly sail tourists. We currently have sales coming from several booking platforms where all encourage you to use web maps and pins . . . who can compete explaining directions with those anyways? The majority, the 5 stars customers, follow instructions, where it says that transportation is YOUR RESPONSABILITY AND NO PHONE CALLS, and do it with time in advance responsably because, they are tourists and getting lost, it's possible. Unfortunately we don't have an office to take calls or to repeat directions over the phone. We are a micro business, only 2 captains with lots of sailing trips and we sail 7 days a week. 40 thousand other TOURISTS has made it to the right location using the pin provided and our explanation. We keep our prices competitive and we sail the right people by not waisting money on offices and unnecessary assistants repeating instructions and info over a phone.

Changed location in an email at the last minute absolutely no phone communication we were also with two other couples that were left as well I would not recommend this to anyone stay away from “sail San Juan bay” >>>>NO REFUND <<<<

Apart from the confused pick-up location which Viator should rectify (it details two different addresses), this was a really nice relaxing sunset sail across the historical bay of San Juan. There was only three of us from a possible six so the boat was not crowded. The water was a little choppy in one spot but generally, it was a gentle ride. We were also offered Sangria.

I would highly recommend this. I have done many sunset sails on a catamaran but experiencing a sunset on a sail boat was so unique and different. Captain Joe and Maria definitely took care of the entire group. They ensured we all had a great time.

The Captain Joe and his crew where amazing! They allowed us to take turns for pictures and videos during the tour. It was an awesome experience for me and my wife and we do recommend them. For some reason, our Uber couldn’t find the right place, so If you get lost while trying to get to the right location, marina or bay just tell your Uber to drive to Club Náutico of Puerto Rico (close to condado) and just wait at the entrance. Enjoy!

Had a great time at this sunset sailing experience. The weather was beautiful and we lucked out because it had rained earlier in the day so I wasn’t sure if we would be able to sail out. Captain Joe and his assistant Abraham were both wonderful. I’d never been on a sail boat before so this was a really fun experience for me. The waters were choppy but the crew ensured everyone’s safety. The entrance was also easy to find so not sure why others have had problems. As long as you follow the directions in the ticket voucher, you end up right at the pickup spot. The security guards at the boat club are also very helpful so you can just ask them for directions and they will tell you what to do. I would definitely go back and do this the next time I am in San Juan!

This was the perfect way to end our honeymoon in San Juan. We had such a great time! We even got to sit at the front of the boat- the ride was smooth, peaceful and romantic! The drinks were tasty, the views amazing, and the guide was personable and knowledgeable. It was not hard at all for us to find the location and afterward we walked over to the Distrito T-mobile for dinner!
