Brilliant. Martin was an amazing host who shared his passion for his country, its culture and its environment
Best viator tour ever. Guide outstanding, its the best way to get well into the Andes small van, see the bluest lake imaginable lagoon providing all water to Santiago, have a wilderness experience, and stop at 2 local small cafes one for morning coffee and cake, one for afternoon drink and empanada. Dont miss this one.
The driver Sebastien and guide Alejandro were great! We drove up one side of the canyon, enjoyed the view and short hike at the end of the trail and enjoyed a picnic lunch with wine fruit nuts and crudites. On the return trip we went down the other side of the canyon and stopped for an empanada lunch and beverage. Friendships were made. It was an amazing experience and Alejandro told history and geography lessons along the way.
Absolutely magical place.
The glaciers forming a back drop to El Yaso was truthly breathtaking.
The food was simple and for the price it felt very expensive for the entire package, but the views will remain in my memory forever.
A really interesting tour into some beautiful country. Just loved the mountains, snow and awesome scenery. The picnic lunch in the sunshine was an added bonus.
The best tour ever!!! Very relaxing, beautiful views, nice picnic. 100 recommended.
Wonderful tour! Breathtaking scenario and locations. Our guide and drive were so friendly and easy to speak too. Very knowledgable of the region. The little stops we had at local shops and markets were wonderful.
This tour was great! Amazing views of the Andes and reservoir. Our driver and guide were quite competent and enthusiastic about the area. If you want an authentic experience with knowledgeable guides, then this is the tour for you! It was a day well spent learning about this area of the Andes.
Paulo was awesome! He did a great job as well as his driver. Really enjoyed getting to know him and the others on our trip. Will certainly use Viator again because of Paulo.
We had such an amazing time. Our guides were really fun and informative. The lake is so beautiful. I am so glad we went. I still think about the beef jerky we got from the market on the way up! Thank you Daniel, Christian and I can't remember the last guys name but he was amazing too!
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING.
This was my first time in Chile and I only had a few days to cram in as much as possible, but this full day tour was WELL worth it. Rodrigo was an amazing tour guide and kept the ride up the mountain entertaining with fun facts about Chile and the geography. We stopped at a market where the owner, Tito, makes fresh bread and cheese and jams. I only WISH he had let us sample it before we got to our picnic by the lagoon because I would have purchased a lifetime supply of his Papaya jam and his Cheeses. Simply delicious. Once we arrived at the lagoon the views were absolutely breath taking. I couldn't have asked for a better day honestly. On the way back down we stopped for some delicious empanadas. Everywhere we went was locally owned and operated which I loved. Thank you so much to Rodrigo and everyone on the local tour operator and Viator teams for this once in a lifetime experience!
Amazing tour. Rodriquez was energetic, enthusiastic and knowledgeable and made us feel right at home. Be prepared for a rugged bus ride on a gravelled mountain road that will give you thrills. The picnic by the lake and the views are spectacular.
It was excellent trip. Our guide Rodrigo and the driver Christopher were spectacular, they wend above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable.
most enjoyable and satisfying experience, especially with our guide Daniel and driver Rose. we had opportunities to talk to the locals who are very friendly.

Feb 10/16 As we had done the El Morado hiking trip 2 days earlier, this tour was a bit of a repeat to the same area enroute, although we took a different road to the reservoir for our picnic as the end point. However, it is always a great day to get out in the mountains and we spent a lovely day with our beautifully organic guide Francine, a couple from São Paulo and a German fellow on 6 month sabbatical...and the people on board really made the day special! We had a great time and I would recommend this tour for those who want to see the area but don't want the physical challenge of the El Morado trip. I enjoyed both but, as we had been on a cruise ship for 21 days, the hiking would be my first choice of tour if I had to pick one. Thanks Francine for a lovely day...your warmth and enthusiasm for life is infectious!!
Josefa was brilliant! We had a wonderful cocktail at the reservoir. She gave us a great history lesson during our ride and was quite attentive to our questions. The view was magnificent and well worth the bumpy ride. The grand finale was a wonderful empanada expertly cooked in a wood oven paired with a recommended local beer. I highly recommend this trip.
Fantastic trip. Fun an knowledgeable guides, nice stops and amazing view at the end.
The Cajon del Maipo trip was FANTASTIC. Our guide and driver Francine and Sebastian were amazing. They work together frequently and knew many folks along the route. The views were grand. We stopped at Mercado del Maipo on the way up and our hosts, graciously, picked out wine, cheese, fruit and such for our picnic at the top. We stopped a couple of other times for photos and such on the way up. The top was quite beautiful with the lake and the snow-capped mountains as backdrops. We had our picnic there and another tour group pulled up beside us. Upon seeing our setup, they commented that they booked with the wrong tour company. Of course, we agreed that they had HAH. On the way back, we stopped at a groovy little restaurant for empanadas. We had several types ... napolitano, championes y queso, etc. Francine and Sebastian did the honors there as well. Each of the empanadas were quite tasty as well as the local beer we tried. With Viator tours, you cannot go wrong. This was no exception. THANK YOU.
Best trip ever. The view at the lake is breathtaking but what really made this trip special was our guide and driver. Francine has great knowledge and a great love for this area and it showed. She provided the most exquisite snack at the lake and it was a great way to end our vacation in Chile. I would recommend this tour to all but really try and get Francine she makes it extra special.
