Leave Santiago behind for a spectacular hiking tour through the Andes Mountains. Set out through Chile's Cajon del Maipo en route toward San Jose Volcano, a stratovolcano with a 2.5-mile wide caldera. Marvel at the surrounding mountain scenery dotted with glaciers and rivers as you walk, enjoying a leisurely pace while making your way to a secluded spot for lunch. Afterward, spend some relaxing time at a waterfall before completing your 2-hour round-trip trek.
Very beautiful and enjoyable hike.
I really enjoyed our snow hike! Our guide Andres arrived right on time to pick us up and was fantastic throughout the tour. The lunch was a lot more than I expected!!!
All equipment was supplied even gloves for those who forgot to bring a pair.
This was an amazng tour! Andre and his pals too great care of us. They made sure thatwe had fun and got some great pictures. The tour picks you up from your hotel, provides lunch and transporation back to the hotel. All the hikinb gear is provided to you as well. f you have a day to spare then definetly do this tour. You will be glad that you did.
Simplemente excelente.
Great tour and perfect amount of time scheduled for a leisurely hike!
Great day. Our guide, Josefa, was fantastic. The views while driving are beautiful, and downright stunning once you reach the valley. The short hike to the waterfall was a nice warm-up. The provided boxed lunch was more than I expected. Overall, an excellent experience. one note: our driver admitted to us he'd been up all night working another job and had gotten no sleep. this didn't thrill me. I'd also just rather not have known.
This tour was amazing! Missed originally date because my clock didn't pick up on the time change so they were able to do the tour for me the next day. Excellent guide! Hike was long but worth it. If u don't like hiking this isn't for u but if u like hiking as I do then you will love it.
This was a great trip. The hike is over moderate to difficult terrain what was great for me. The guides were extremely knowlegeable and friendly.
My review is a little bit of a mixed bag. First the good stuff. Our guides were fantastic! I really couldn't have asked for better. They took great care of us and made sure we were safe and had fun. Lunch was very good. Tasty and filling. The mountain is beautiful. What disappointed me was that none of us were really prepared for the experience. Everyone on the tour thought we were going for a moderate hike on the ground, and we were all dressed for that. We actually drove up the mountain, past the snow line, and went on a rather challenging hike up the mountain in snow shoes. I will say that I enjoyed myself, and I think we were all rather proud of our unexpected accomplishment, but we would have been more comfortable with the weather and the difficulty of the hike if we knew ahead of time what we were going to be doing. Bottom line: Great people, great fun, just check to see what the activity actually entails.
A great winter's day out into the Cajon del Maipo with absolutely stunning scenery enroute! We ended up snow-shoeing up the mountain with gear provided by the crew. A day well worth the fresh mountain air!
