Small group tour that allowed us to experience the highlights of the city. Had a terrific seafood lunch overlooking the bay, as recommended by our guide. Winery on the way home topped it off nicely. Great attention to detail. Also gave us great tips for our stay in Santiago. Highly recommend this company.
I vacationed with my adult son in Santiago, Chile for 10 days in September. On our booked day to tour Valparaiso and Vina del Mar, Vanessa greeted us at 9:00 am and were whisked away for a day long adventure. Vanessa was warm, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Along with learning about the history of the neighbourhoods of Santiago as we drove out of the city toward our destination, we were treated to lively conversation, which included politics. Valparaiso was very lively and colourful. Our history lesson continued while we took in the sites and sounds. We continued on to Vina del Mar, where my son and I enjoyed a mouth-watering lunch. Waves crashed on the rocks below our seaside window, while pelicans, sea lions and albatross congregated at the water's edge. Both my son and I HIGHLY recommend this tour and Vanessa. It was well worth it and was one of the highlights of our vacation. Thank you!
Very good tour, guide was very efficient, asked what our needs were and he tried to accoma die them which he did very well. His driving was excellent and was knowledge able on his tour,
Excellent tour with a very good driver/guide who was able to tailor this trip to suit us. Great area to visit.
Easy and fun with knowledgeable guide. Could have used a bit more time on our own to explore.
I couldn't recommend this tour highly enough. Our guide was Emanuel from Stamps Tours, and nothing was too much trouble. He was prompt, extremely interesting and informative, as well as being very helpful taking photographs. I accidently got some paint on my coat and straightaway he set about solving the situation. We never felt rushed, and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Valparaiso which is a fascinating place to visit. The recommended lunch stop was an excellent choice and we even had time for ice creams on the beach! We stopped at the vineyard on the return and again, never felt we had to rush. I would not hesitate to recommend Emanuel and Stamps Tours to anyone planning a visit to Santiago.
Excellent, knowledgeable guide Emmanuel. Very punctual. Good choice of sites. Flexible as to how many stops to make in each city.
Vanessa was our tour guide for the day. From the moment we boarded her car, we knew we were going to have a good time. You immediately get a sense of her passion of Santiago, Chile. We were not at all disappointed. She went at a great pace and we didnt feel like she was clock watching. She gave us a brief tour as we exited Santiago for our main destinations: Veramonte Winery for wine tasting amazing and beautiful views, the sites of Vina Del Mar, lunch in an old castle with a beachfront view at Castillo Del Mar, and viewing the street art and local artist shops at Valparaíso. It was a long day, BUT well worth it. I believe we saw a high level of the city and neighboring areas in 10 hours versus if we planned it ourselves. She showed us a ton of fantastic places that we could have easily missed or wouldnt have ventured out to do on our own. This tour is family owned so you feel the extra attention to detail and personal touches. Well worth the money. We would totally book another tour through this company. And ask for Vanessa!
An amazing tour, very informative, excellent choice of restaurant, highly recommend tour. Driver and guide worked well together as a team and helped to provide us with a fabulous fun day.
This tour was great. Emmanuel was our guide and it ended up being a private tour. He and #39;s very knowledgeable and super friendly. We visited the main points in Valparaiso and Viña del Mar. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in Valparaiso. I wish we had some time for shopping but other than that it was great.
This was a wonderful tour. Our tour guide, Emanuel, from Stamps Tour came to our hotel on time to pick us up and he drove us to two wonderful wineries in Vina del Mar where we had private tastings. The good thing was the Emanuel didn't rush us or try to breeze us through, so we enjoyed the sampling at our own pace. And then we enjoyed an informative tour around the city where Emanuel explained all the historic landmarks and helped us find ample places to take wonderful photographs and even took us to a nice seafood restaurant hidden in the hills as my sister is pescatarian, this was a wonderful and attentive gesture. We had our tour even longer than planned because we had such a good time and it was the off season. I will certainly check back with Emanuel and Stamps tours when we return to Santiago.
We booked this tour from the US and our day in Valparaiso and Vina Del Mar through Stamps Tours was incredible all around! Emanuel and Cindy were more than just tour guides they introduced us to their culture and designed our day based on what we wanted to see and do we left the day having made new friends. The way they catered to what we wanted to see and what kind of food we wanted to try made this day truly unlike any tour I have ever been on while travelling abroad. Both guides were very knowledgeable, fluent in English and great conversationalists on a wide variety of topics. They ended up staying longer in both places because we wanted to take the city elevators and walk around town more without charging us extra. We had great conversations about Chilean life and they were also interested in comparing their ways to ours, which was appreciated. Unforgettable trip and we will be certain to be back and have already told friends and family about this truly amazing tour!
Saw so much and learned so much about beautiful Valparaiso and Vina del Mar. Vanessa was so entertaining and knowledgeable, which made for a fun and informative trip! Definitely a must!
Our guide picked us up from our Airbnb after a little confusion over the address - be sure to check that!. Had a nice ride out to Casablanca Valley to see a vineyard, then on to Viña del Mar for a driving tour and lunch. After lunch we drove around Valparaiso and saw the city and the street art. I'd recommend this as an easy tour to take for a day - not a lot of walking, but a lot to see.
Gabriel from Stamps tour was great. He was very polite and friendly. He showed us many sites including a stop at a local wine shopon the way to Valparaiso before we boarded our ship. He also arranged for a great lunch in Valparaiso after a tour of the city. He got us to the port in plenty of time before sailing. We would use him again if we were ever in Santiago again.
We took this tour on December 31, 2015. Our tour guide-Emanuel was the greatest. We had to take many detours due to roads being closed for the fireworks in Valparaiso. After about 1.5h delay we made it to our hotel safe and sound. Thanks to our tour guide-we did not get nervous taking unnessary routes.
He was very knowledgeable and sweet. His English is great!
Vanessa, our tour guide-driver, spoke great English and had a great sense of humour. She never ran out of stories to tell or things to say about the sites.
Additionally, on the plus side, 1 the choice of winery visit to Casona Veramonte was good - they had an expert sommelier who was patient, spoke great English and humoured everyone during the wine tasting 2 we did the Valparaiso port and the main square which was not indicated on the itinerary 3 we did the vista point at Vina del Mar which was also not in the itinerary' 4 the walking tour of Valparaiso streets was a highlight.
On the minus side, 1 I had a problem with the vehicle, a pick-up. There were two couples we didn't know each other and I sat in front but my wife and the other couple had to squeeze in the back and clearly, none of them were comfortable. I would advise that for 4-5, they should use a minivan. 2 the itinerary included the casino and the museum in Vina del Mar but that didn't happen 3 the itinerary also included Museum of Pablo Neruda in Valparaiso bar, but we din't do that either.
We had our optional lunch at the Castillo del Mar - plus, as a former castle, it was a unique place to do lunch. Neutral, food was Ok quality. Minus, it was a full house and it took a long time for our food to be served - we wasted 30 minutes.
Vanessa was a great guide with very good English. The first stop was a shop stop and could have been skipped but overall a good way of spending the day out of the city of Santiago. Lovely views and great wine from the vineyard on the way home.
Valparaiso is a must see for all travellers to Chile. So vibrant and colourful. Our guide Emmanuel was so friendly and knowledgeable and made it a really fun and enjoyable day. The winery we stopped at was amazing, the wines so delicious...but the cost of the tasting should have been published in the tour notes... ours was 60pp US which is really expensive. In Australia wine tasting is FREE, so this should really be noted upfront.
This is a very nice tour as they pick you up and drop you off right at your hotel. It was not as interesting as I thought, but we did learn about the country and see lots of the area. Well worth the price, and a great tour guide.
Our guide was great Vanessa - very knowledgeable and a fantastic driver in chaotic Santiago traffic. The flow of the day was not ideal - we started the morning at a winery fun! but then spent the afternoon dragging because we drank a bunch of wine in the morning. The order should be flipped- head right to Valpo and Vina and then finish the day at the wineries. Also, our lunch destination was an expensive tourist trap. We passed so many cute local places in Valparaiso that we could have had a more authentic meal. All the sites were cool and worth seeing, just not an ideal flow.
