Gabriel and his wife Alexandra run a very competent and personalized tour service. He is a safe driver, very knowledgeable and truly bi-lingual. Unlike several other tour companies he does not stop the trip near the reservoir dam, but drives along the entire scenic route to stop at the far end for a gourmet picnic on the beach. There is plenty of time to explore the area and take pictures.
I highly recommend using his services.

Just returned from over two weeks touring around South America , several day trips / tours / excursions in some in incredible places , none come close to matching this trip with Gabriel our guide taking six of us on a wonderful journey

The early start was worth it with plenty of chances to take pics along the way as we meandered out of Santiago up into the mountains , once there however all six of us were utterly awe struck by the sheer magnificence of our surroundings

I very rarely write a review for our trips as they never really hit the mark , on this occasion however I feel I have to tell everyone how good the trip was from begining to end

The mountains were incredible, but our guide Gabriel added another dimension to the whole experience , funny , warm , knowledgeable and helpful , I doubt we have ever had as a good a guide over the years , his wife Alexandra was there in the background emailing and messaging to ensure we have everything we needed before the trip etc etc , customer service of the highest order :

To end then , a day trip with Gabriel to Cajon Del Maipo is not to be missed under any circumstances

This was an amazing trip! We had a great time on the trip to Del Maipo talking with our guide, Gabriel, and learning about the area. Once we arrived we were thrilled with the scenery. As we walked around enjoying the mountains and the water we saw mountain goats grazing and horses on the beach. When we returned to Gabriel, he had set up an amazing picnic lunch! There were salty snacks, homemade chicken salad sandwiches, several cheeses and olives and, of course, wine! It was a perfect day! The weather was beautiful, the scenery was so relaxing and we could have sat there all day! A few other small groups came while we were there and left way before we did. We got there early for the best spot and we were glad we did. On our return to Santiago we stopped at several waterfalls and Gabriel even took us to a hidden waterfall! If you only have time for one trip while you are in Santiago, this is the trip to take!!!! I can't say enough about Gabriel and his hospitality. The attention to detail was so evident. We felt totally pampered. If I could give this trip more than 5 stars I would!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR!

We were very pleased with the tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and went to great lengths to be sure we were happy and satisfied. We had the destination beach almost to ourselves and the meal provided was very satisfying. We noticed other tours that had to stop before the beach and their patrons were on the side of the dirt road with their glasses of wine which was not as relaxing and peaceful as our experience. We were very happy with our tour.

This tour was amazing! We had a personalized trip, with stops at the most beautiful places. And our guide Gabriel had a lot of knowledge about Chile and the nature. As we reached the final destination, he served us a homemade meal with all kinds of fresh fruits, sandwiches, drinks and wine! Thx alot

This was an excellent tour run by an exceptional company/couple. Multi-lingual Gabriel was an informed, entertaining guide who kept things moving and always found the best places for viewing, taking photos, and having a picnic. His partner, Alexandra, was in touch with us prior to the trip and the day of to make sure that we had the most up-to-date information and knew what to expect. The trip to Cajon was beautiful and Gabriel took us off the beaten path a couple of times to give us more than a standard tour. At the reservoir our group was served an amazing picnic that included gourmet cheeses, delicious sandwiches, other snacks, and wine. This is how a business should be run. We later took another tour with Stamps, which was not great, and totally regretted not booking that one with Isto e Chile.

This was a great tour. Our guide, Gabriel, was fabulous. He told us plenty of interesting stories on our drive into the mountains. Setup a great picnic. Showed us some beautiful spots on our tour. And was a pleasure to talk to. My party basically overbooked the tour, but he was able to accommodate us when he could've easily told us that he couldn't take us on the tour. And as my 9-year old put it, Gabriel is his new friend. Highly recommend it to everyone.

Thanks to our tour guide Gabriel, this day resulted amazing. The weather was exceptionally weird, very cloudy the sky was totally covered at some points of the way. Gabriel warned us we probably wouldnt have the often incredible turquoise sights of this tour because of the rain, but he was going to try to do everything possible for us to take advantage of the day. And he did! Gabriel very knowledgeable and very sympathetic! and the group were fantastic, making the journey very much entertaining. The minivan was very comfortable for the 6 people of the group. Gabriel tried to find all the best spots to take pics and videos of the strange look of the Embalse, which had a rare beauty, as usually it never rains at that time of the year. We also saw bits of snow! At some points, it was very cold outside the minivan, so Gabriel offered us some blankets to shelter ourselves, very helpful! There was a quick lunch planned with sandwiches, cherries, strawberries, cheese and wine to sit next to the Embalse and enjoy the awesome views. But as a group, we decided it was too cold and wet to be out so we all chose to enjoy lunch in the van on the way back to Santiago. While talking, laughing and eating the tasty food, we finished a particularly beautiful day in the mountain. Gabriel asked each one of us where we wanted to be dropped off and we all agreed in Costanera Center. At the time of goodbye, he gave us a bottle of wine he had prepared for the lunch stop originally planned. A few days later he sent us by whatsapp the pics he took with his phone of the group and the landscape! Istó e Chile gave an amazing service. A special thanks to Alexandra, who kept us updated with the confirmation and information of the tour by whatsapp. They are charming people and the tour with them is worth every penny. We highly recommend it!

Excellent tour guide, and amazing views. We had a wonderful experience and it was a perfect day trip for our family of five 3 kids ages 6-11. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area, and made sure we stopped in the right places along the way. We were in Santiago for two weeks, and this was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

Booked this trip while already being in Santiago. Gladly there was a spot free for the five of us to go into the mountains.
Gabriel, our tour guide, picked us up early in the morning. Most of us didn't feel happy about a 2,5 hour car trip before arriving but gladly Gabriel was there to talk us thru.
In those 150 minutes he told us all about vineyards, the President, Santiago, the weather and whatsoever, so we arrived in a snap! Also nice there was finally someone in Chile who could speak English!!
Anyway, we stopped a few times on some nice spots to take pictures and absorb more information until we arrived at our point of destination. A great spot nearby the lake where Gabriel put out a nice picnic. Enjoying the sun, wine and food at this height with a great view, made this a day to remember from our trip to Chile.
