This was a special and interesting way to get a wonderful insight into some of Santiago’s great spots. Carol, my guide was superb, introducing me in a friendly, informative and enthusiastic way to many places including Barrio Lastarria, Cerro Santa Lucía, La Moneda, Plaza de Armas and Bella Vista. Thoroughly recommended!
No sign of our private guide at the appointed time at our hotel. Called the local tour operator on number provided by Viator only to be told tour was cancelled due to breakdown of vehicle. With help from hotel concierge they phoned back and offered us a tour 1.25 hours later which we took as we had limited time on our stopover in Santiago. Tour was OK but market was cloded due to late departure and there was a lot of walking due to streets being clogged with traffic in the downtown area. Would not have booked this at all with beniefit of hindsight.

the tour is best for those who would like to know a little more about this great city, the people who built it and contibuted with various way. Carol, our guide, shared us with colorful details in very good English.
This car/walking tour of Santiago, conducted by our guide Vanessa and driver Jack, was truly an experience that provided us with sights across the city that gave my daughter and me a real sense of the city in all its aspects: culturally, politically, economically, and socially. We saw by car the beautiful view of Santiago from the high point of St. Christabel. And we saw where the nightlife takes place in Bella Vista, where people buy food in the marketplace, where people shop in downtown, where people worship, and where the government conducts its business. Vanessa gave us an enormous amount of information so I really feel we came away with an in-depth sense of what the people and the city of Santiago are like. It would have taken several weeks to find this on our own, and we could not have received all the information Vanessa knew. We were in Santiago for less than a week, so I was very happy with this tour of the city. I have to add that I was in England in May of 2018 and took two Viator tours there that were equally well done. I highly recommend Viator tours.
Claudio was a great guide. Knowledgeable and patient, with our request for a Starbucks stop! Loved the Plaza del Arms visit. Good tour, a must do in Santiago!
We saw a lot of Santiago, which was great! Our guide's use of English could have been better. He showed us so many interesting places and told us so much about Santiago and Chile. We were glad to have had this introduction on the first day of our trip.
Both our driver and tour guide were really wonderful. Sights were explained history given. Time was provided to explore sights.
We found the tour comfortable and well worth doing a private tour. Our guide did speak excellent English which was extremely
helpful . Thank you
It was a good way to get to know the various areas of the city - and what we wanted to go back to. Very much enjoyed the park and view from the hills. The guide was OK but we found the commentary quite repetitive. Still worth seeing, we liked the people and sights of Santiago very much.
