Our South American trip

Because of political reasons the stops were not as the map, understandable they tried to avoid trouble spots. However we thought we might have gotten earphones to understand a bit of what we saw , not so. We had no idea. So pretty disappointing

It was OK as it was a tour of what Santiago has done recently to come into the 21st C but this was not my interest.

Too much confusion, buy your ticket from a street vendor

We thought purchasing tickets before we arrived would make it easier, not so. In relation to our hotel all the wristband exchange sites were quite a distance away as we found out after walking around the tour path within close proximity only to find out those locations only sold tickets, not exchanged wristbands for existing. It was dumb luck we even found the spot once we took a taxi to an exchange location it was well hidden inside the market. The tour itself was good, there were several times the tour guided recording only played music as they were driving along the highway or in neighborhoods that apparently didn't have any history..

Very good

We booked ahead, find the place (next to Plaza de Armas) to collect the tickets easily, went back to Moneda Palace to watch the changing of the guards and got our first bus one block down. We got off and on a couple of times. Never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a bus. The agents on the buses were very friendly and helpful. The commentary wasn't always very clear but it did not bother me as i preferred to look around rather than listening to the commentary. :-) The buses are clean and very easy to spot!

Your service is expensive, I suggest you book direct with the tourist office.

The Hop-On-Off bus was an easy and affordable way to see the city. The staff were approachable and helpful.

Sound system

The sound system on one of the buses had so much static on it that it was indecipherable. We checked all the languages and they were all the same. Didn’t get the bus number but we got on at the Universidad Catholicos at about 11:00 a.m.

Tour was ok but you get a punative 1 star because:1 nowhere on your site could I find a route map. If you’d bothered to think about it a fairly basic requirement. 2 not all bus stops have a sign.

We were late for the 10:15am tour...

We were late for the 10:15am tour. But went on the 2:15pm one. The name of the bus company is nowhere to be found in Larcomar Shopping Center. The Information Center had not heard the To ur Company on the voucher. He called the contact number on the voucher, but was not correct. He said it was missing numbers. The Panoramic City Tour took us from Miraflores to Barrancos, San Isidro and the colonial part of the city. Traffic was horrendous. The city has 11,000.00 people. It seemed that everyone was out. The views were foggy. They claim is a natural phenomenon called La Nina. We believe is pollutWe visited the Plaza de Armas and looked at a few old colonial building that are both government offices and also privately owned. We visited the Monastery of the Franciscans and its Catacombs. Its still the home of Franciscans. Unfortunately, is in a state of disrepair. The library is abandoned. Precious religious books are going to be lost soon. No patrons are helping these priests to preserve anything. Tour Guides were speaking English and Spanish only. There were no headsets, no circuit map of route. The bus was yellow and the name is Turibus. The bus is a bit tired. This is the worst Hop On Hop Off I have been on.
